I don't like the football thats being played these days but the blanket defence was genius if not ugly,it gives lesser teams a chance against the heavyweights in Gaelic football. G.A.A only has itself to blame for this transition. The pressure put on the players to train 3/4 times a week and a game on Sunday makes them dedicated and prepared to win at any cost,and rightly so, we call it amateur but they train as professionals. So why not do anything to win?

But i think it has to be some sort of difference between northern ad southern teams portrayal. If you watch a game on RTE and switch at half time to BBC 2 (when the fuckers show it) you would think by the commentary that you were watching a different game. Although RTE is better coverage in my opinion! (Cavan,ugly as marty morrisey) classic Brolly, a wanker but hilarious!

RTE are more critical which i prefer but can be a bit rough on any team that dos not play purist football and at the moment thats Northern teams. I think we are gonna see a big shift towards a radical rule change(yet another one)in Gaelic to rekindle the old style game!
