I love Dimash and Tengri together. Dimash has opened up a new world of music for me. I never would have ventured into different types of music before. Now I can appreciate other cultures and all the wonderful music out there.

You are still my favourite Dimash reactor! Just wanted to add that they sang this in a very symbolic way that represent the relationship between three great countries (check the lyrics). First Tengri sang in Chinese, Dimash in Kazakh, Tengri in Mongol, Dimash in Chinese, then ended with both in Chinese.

I believe the band singer is using a mouth organ, a ( small strip of metal.) TENGRI, met Dimash at the I am singer show. Of course, Dimash became a superstar in China.

I believe Tengri is Mongolian. I’m in love with his singing. Love Dimash. Love Tengri. Love the throat singers, the instruments, the set, the blend of voices.

Dimash adjusts his voice to every duett partner perfectly and isn’t overpowering them (we all know he could easily do) That is the reason why it is always a pleasure to listen to his duetts. Also the different styles always are blended perfectly. Very interesting and a special musical experience.
Thank you Max, agree completely with you. When I heard this performance for the first time I was amazed. If anyone had told me 3 years ago that I would enjoy a mongolian folksong I would have thought they gone mad. Dimash is a very steong duetpartner. Very considerate. I beleive thyr connected over their love for the great steppe. Their voices did match very well and they seemed to enjoy it very much. They did use another singer for the traditional mongolian throatsinging in the beginning and later im the song.
You made me actually laugh out loud at min 9:22 when you said "I hate Dimash...". He's so ridiculously good! I think a lot of singers get that emotion at one time or another in regards to Dimash. I definitely wanted you to do this performance. It's one of my favorites. Tengger or Tengri was completely new to me and this style of singing is not familiar. I've heard some traditional more operatic Chinese singing in the past but I was never really fond of it. But Tengger's singing style was absolutely charming and beautiful. Clearly this was a performance of contrasts. Western more open style singing vs Chinese folk style? (not really Chinese opera is it?), Modern vs traditional, and Kazakh vs Chinese. This is true also in the way they dressed.

And Dimash always seems to serve as the ambassador between the two countries. He sings both Kazakh and Chinese and then they beautifully harmonize and blend together at the end. The song may have political implications because of trying to create harmony between the two countries, but that part really is not something I dwell on personally.

Honestly, I just love their voices together and how Dimash is able to not only show incredible vocals but pull back and blend with Tengri. And I love the Mongolian performers and throat singer..(.I believe that's what they were...?). Really, really great arrangement of the song!

I can't tell you how much I appreciate your point of view and it is also rare to find someone who understands Mandarin that can give us a reaction/analysis to Dimash! Would you mind doing a short song of Dimash called "The Meaning of Eternity"? It's a song for the promotion of a Chinese stage play called in English "Three Buddies", I believe. ua-cam.com/video/axtMcI6qO8o/v-deo.html No one ever really comments on the lyrics, and because this isn't subtitled, most people don't understand the meaning of the song. But it is both beautiful musically and lyrically. If you get a chance to do it, I'd really appreciate it. Also there are more duets I would like to suggest but I'm will save those for later. Dimash has recently released another song in Chinese called a Thousand Miles, a Common Dream. I think you would enjoy it.

Is Like A Dream? Samaltau is sung in Kazakh and there are traditional Kazakh instruments and musicians. The song
is a lament by a young Kazakh man who is forced to leave Kazakhstan and fight for Russia during WW1. He sings of his
love of his home and fear that he will never see it again. Kazakhstan was under Russian rule for ages and only gained
independence in 1991.
Love Is Like A Dream is sung in Russian and you will be surprised, I think, by Dimash’ performance.

It's "throat singing" & yes, it's mostly Mongolian. They usually do with a Mongolian Triditual song but heard they can do different sounds while hunting.

Since Tengger and Dimash come from the culture of nomads, they have horses on which they "jumped" to music, the wind beats in the face, a sense of freedom... I watched it on facebook, but on UA-cam I found the video clip, which I didn't particularly like the mix with scenes from Jack Chan's movie. I was amazed the first time I saw it. Beautiful scenery, musicians and special arrangements. I love that way of Singing from Mr. Tengri, it is an impressive subtlety and joy. He's a lovely little man .. And I also really like the duet with Dimash. They met at "The Singer" in 2018 when Dimash made a presentation. And in an interview, he showed a lot of respect for Mr. Tengri who was among the contestants that year. For me it is very important to know your impression and check your comments. Actually, Dimash is a great Jackie Chan fan. There is a video of him meeting him and offering him a dombra. Loved to see your face light up when Dimash changed to Chinese. I immediately knew he nailed it. Do you know what makes singing in a tonal language extra difficult? Read that somewhere but nobody has been able to explain so far. Thank you for another engaging reaction video. By the way, would "sophisticated" describe Tengger's singing maybe?
He did sing autumn strong acapella to Jackie Chan actually and it was phenomenal , just wanted to add that .
I thought it was the other way around, Jackie heard him singer on the Singer 2017 and become a fan of Dimash. But that´s not so important, both become friends and have great respect for each other.
This duet is just lovely, as I became a fan of the Show The Singer, I followed The Singer 2018 and was fascinated with Tengri. As I'm a curious person and like to improve my knowledge in History, I wanted to know about Inner Mongolia (CN ) and Mongolia, beside increasing my knowledge I also discovered a Mongolian Hard Rock Folk band The Hu, one of my favorites is Wolf Totem and those traditional instruments that we ear here are a must.

There is one other collaboration I am curious about your reaction to...Earth Song performed by rapper Victor Ma and Dimash. It has one part where they go quite literally head to head that is super powerful...but also deeply disturbing. Many have reported unexpected tears (as did I)...some simply can't enjoy it, some love it. It is definitely unlike anything else I have heard. I would dearly love to hear your input.

Mr. Kudaibergen used "khoomei" singing technique in "Sinfull passion".
And thank you for pronounced as "Tengger" not "Tengri". ""Tengri" means "God" in Turkic languages and "sky" in Mongolian. "Tengger" means "believer in God" or "holy". I have no idea for Mongolian religions. But The man who named "Tengri" is sounds so weird to my Turkic ears. You may thinking, the man who named "God" or " Jehovah" like this.

I can’t imagine how works in one language mean something very different in another . One might be flattered in one insulted by the same sound I’m another . My grandfather spoke 5 Languages fluently . He told me Chinese and envision were the hardest languages to learn ( I think the different dialects in India too ) . He also said those of us who grew up sidekick English didn’t know how to speak it very well 😂
It is my hope that globally we offer language and cultural history and include music as a means to teach it . Music seems to reach the part of understanding and context . When begin to teach small children in school we often use little songs they can learn to remember.
I think adults in the world should remember this .
