My dear Indranee .As a very close friend I would like to make a few comments . I feel sad that you have completely forgotten one of our closest friends and musician Chuti Padmaperuma . He is the one who introduced me to your dad and sisters .and he was the one responsible in getting the musicians for your backing group . Although I had my own own band I agreed to play for your group and I also brought my lead guitarist Rajah Jalaldeen who is one of the best ever lead guitarists in our country .I hope you remember the show we did at Navarangahala where I played Concert Flute for the song Shamu Daley,The Three Sisters brought the house down that night with the superb backing from us . The band did not have a name as we were only a backing band but your late dad had given a name and even published that in the news papers , The name was BLUE BIRDS . I only got to know when I was traveling down to Colombo by train one Sunday morning after a gig the previous night with my band in Badulla.. I saw the article in the Sunday papers .I am sure you will remember the show we did at Kandy where we stayed at your dads ancestral home in Buwelikada. Another fact is that Victor Dalugama has not been given due recognition . He was the one who rehearsed and conducted the orchestra for the recording of your first E P recording .Victor was also very close to your dad . Finally let me tell you that this is the first time that I am hearing that you had been selected as the female vocalist of the FIREFLIES .I am an original member of the FIREFLIES and we never ever wanted to have a female vocalist , much less an amateur . Dalrene sang with the band only because she was the wife of our manager late Earle Arnolda .The vocalist we used was Desmond De Silva . There were many girls who wanted to join us but they were refused. In any case Dalrene was NOT THE LEADER of the FIREFLIES as you have mentioned and she had no authority to bring any one into the band .The leader was late Melroy De Silva and in 1971 Darrel De Silva and myself were joint leaders ...Your late dad bought one of my best guitars for the band but I was told later that it had been damaged..Hope you are in good health .Convey my regards to younger sister Iranganie .Chuti Padmaperuma is still in contact with me and is still active in music as I am .All the best.
Indrani lovely artist.also her sisters.i noticed many people, including who studied with me now forgot me,can't recognised ,it us a surprise for me because I remmember them very well.i think indrani has a memory loss condition, tests why she made several mistakes as you mentioned.god bless all of you who served and serving the peoole for musical entertainment.
I grew up listening to the three sisters. Very popular in my family and amongst relatives. The records shown here reminds me of the ones we had. Love them all. Beautiful music and singing
If I'm not wrong, once Vijaya Corera told how she was selected by Clarence Wijewardane. First Clarence didn't like her appearance but loved her voice which was told to Vijaya.

From the public point of view all this crab is displayed for the clamour of self recognition.
