This was a huge improvement over 2 games ago. Nika was amazing. Amari and Ayanna need to know they don't always have to dribble when they're already near the basket. The team seems to do better at a fast pace when they can do what they know and don't have to think much about it. Merry Christmas everyone!
I love what CD in the first quarter with putting Ines in. She’s a true freshman and putting her in that early will build her game. It’s just crazy how much turnovers were in this game..
You're not wrong! 6 am Thursday morning on this side of the world, and no live coverage. And I'm not a morning person any way! MJL is a lifesaver. Great result - now to see how it was achieved...
There were a number of outstanding effort plays by UConn during this game. One of them was by Edwards, 6'3", playing deny defense from the low post, out past the high post, and out past the three point line. From about 34:20 (starting at about 1:11 remaining on the game clock) to about 34:26. That kind of tenacity is rare to say the least. The person she was guarding never touched the ball on that possession.
Nika scoring trees! If she can do that every game, she would be unstoppable! Good game Nika! Edwards, a beast! Dorka, clinical, Aubrey, well, athleticism, speed, and poise! Well done, playing the bench, when winning big! I am so hopeful things will click for Amari! Patterson...keep working! We had them in size, speed, and everything else...still, we won!
Dorka's 3 starts missing to the right sometimes. She needs to be prodded to add more arc, follow-through more strongly, or compensate a bit to the left when that happens. Which would help most is hard to guess.
Nika Mühl just on fire. She is just so HOT! And Aaliyah just a basketball force of nature. Right now there is two UCONN teams: one with Nika on the court and another without her on the court - the difference ist just sooo significant. Two outstanding players, bring back Azzi and this team can do it all. The team really has to stop those turnovers in the comming games, this cant be the standard. OKish games by Dorka, Lou, Aubrey and Caroline, they really need to get going again towards march. Inês looked more confident on the court, Ayanna and Amari both had better games, but hard to tell with so little minutes. Going forward i think the rotation will straighten out and we will only see 6-7 players (Aaliyah, Azzi, Nika, Lou, Dorka, Aubrey, Caroline) unless there is some more injuries or foul trouble.
@@jmiddlefinger4534 To me for Dorka yes because she is just that good. Only two games back in, i am most confident in her to really get top level again and having an even greater impact on a regular basis every game very soon.
So impressed with Senechal's defense. If you've watched any vids of her at Fairfield, her defense was sloppy to non-existent. At UConn she has learned a defensive stance, getting ahead of the offensive player rather than sliding along beside them, and busy hands. She is light years ahead of where she was at Fairfield. Clear to see she is enjoying basketball.
Thanks as always, MJL243. UConn looked pretty good. I know some folks are upset about the turnovers, but given the outcome, not too bad. Well done, UConn and Coach CD.
Great team effort. The team is on track to be strong in the post season. We have seven who can play any time against any team and three who are developing. Turnovers are a problem, especially traveling, offensive fouls, stepping on the sideline, passing to no one or soft passes; however, the laser passes inside and transition passes yield easy points. They will figure it out.
What does everyone think about Ayanna so far? I think we have been spoiled by so many freshman making big contributions recently that we forgot how unusual it is. She doesn’t look ready to me. And I think that is okay. I am still really excited about her long term.
Tony Bazzello...always looking like he just got up and found out he was going to be audited.....On a more serious note...Edwards is becoming one of the best Posts in the womens college game this season....But enough with the damn turnovers...this team is better than this,....
25:05 to 25:32, There's the reason we love Nika so much! 3-point basket, causes TO drops pass into the post, then furthest player from Aaliyah, she sprints to be the first to help her up!
One of my favorite UCONN players to watch is Ines Bettencourt. Ines is a scrappy player and I can see so much potential for her as she gains more experience. As of now, it will be Ines that replaces Nika when Nika graduates. I just see her getting better and better.
@MJL243 thank you for doing God's work in bringing UConn WBB to the masses. Those of us who don't get local coverage on a regular weekday game really appreciate this! Edwards is working her way to beast mode. I'd like to see a rematch with SC with Dorka and Edwards at full strength.
Ok, everybody, we get it, turnovers are grabbing everyone's attention. Easy does it though. Should there be 60 some turnovers in the last 3 games? No. However, did the opposing team score on each of the turnovers? No. And how many UConn assists were there? In this game - 30. Turnovers that happen on repeated misjudgments are not, not, not good. Turnovers happening when attempting to make a play for your teammate is an entirely different matter. Not all turnovers are bad. I think we can all agree the coaching staff is fully aware of how many turnovers there have been.
Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, to all!!! Great Jobs Ladies!!! What a Great Early Christmas Present from the Lady Huskies.... CD do not be afraid to keep Coaching!!! The Team and Staff are behind you!!! Coach a speeeeeeeeD recovery!!!!🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇
Nika Muhl had one hell of a game!
MJL 243 the legend continues thank you so much.

Crazy! 22 is too many.

Needed this upload. I think a lot of people missed it due to the weird time slot.

@@lastonestanding3417 She wants to…
So does Patterson…

Dorka getting a double double and not having to play a 40 minute game is just ok? Tough crowd.
@@jmiddlefinger4534 To me for Dorka yes because she is just that good. Only two games back in, i am most confident in her to really get top level again and having an even greater impact on a regular basis every game very soon.
THANK YOU AGAIN MJL243; and I wish you and yours a blessed holiday in whatever way it is celebrated.

MJL243. You are the best. Thank you so much.
Thanks your the best ❤❤❤
Thanks for the upload, great quality.
Meg and Allen seem unaware that UConn is 2nd in the nation in FG%. Thanks, MJL.

She has skills, rebounds strongly, but still isn't used to playing with teammates this good. That takes time.
She's raw. Not likely to make an impact as a freshman. I think Brady could have but alas.
@@markhathaway9456 What skills???
Patterson, a disappointment...She is uncoordinated, and lacks basic skills...
@@onestgermain She's raw and lacks confidence like most freshmen. Her talent level is through the roof.
Thank you again MJL!

Finally got a chance to see one of my favorite players this year play. Lauren Park-Lane. Even though I knew it would be an L from my Uconn girls lol.

And, even though it appears everyone is in love with Nika, there are times when she is going too fast. Fast is good. Control with fast is even better.
@MJL243 can u pls make ur vids available to download offline . 🙏🏻🙏🏻😔
You can download videos using 4kvideodownloader. I use it and it works great.
Please pass on to Nika. It is your team to control, keep learning how to control your team and then the game.

You girls in trouble if Nika gonna be out here making 3s.
Somebody needs to educate these refs concerning what constitutes "steps".......man they were awful
