    I love the way you have your garden set up not all in one big garden spot. It must be a nice walk around your yard and enjoy it all.

    I agree with you, and I have found it to be especially true with tomatoes for some reason ;) Plus, adorable goat co-host behind you!

    Very good information to know. You know you do have something more important than any degree. You have skill and knowledge learned from the best teacher: trial and error. I would rather learn from you than someone with a degree. Just my thoughts. Have a wonderful day my friend.

    That was great advise. I really would never have thought to do that. Makes a lot of sense.

    Totally agree. We have a local seed company an hour away and they also have growers here, the trouble is though, I've had low germination rates on most things I've got from them. I buy a lot of my seeds through an excellent company almost 1900km! away. Excellent germination, great quality vegetables but I choose carefully what would do better here and the saved seeds or self sown are better every year. Im in a permaculture group here, we seed swap, but so far very little that I've received has been true to type sadly. I just swap for cuttings and bulbs now instead. They are still an invaluable source of information for me. Make the videos you feel comfy with. I liked this one.💜💜

      Thank you so much! I have really struggled with low germination rate with certain companies as well. Its so frustrating! Makes saving seed so much more worth it when you know it will germinate!

    I like to listen with someone that has real life experience than from books. I wiuld have never known about acclimating seeds to your area.

      You know im not sure. I would at least dehydrate them for winter soups and stews. But i think they would be good to eat if cooked right!

    Im sorry but that goat just stole the video. Great video. We get these weeds that look like there steams are bamboo. Not sure what they are but super easy to pull

    • @nutmegknoll
      @nutmegknoll  5 років тому

      interesting. My guess if they are easy to pull they are not bamboo. Bamboo is so hard to get rid of but we sure do love it growing here!!

    • @VouersWiscoHomestead
      @VouersWiscoHomestead 5 років тому

      Yeah its not bamboo. The steams just look like bamboo. We let them get no bigger than 3 inches. I pull them. Cant be having all those weeds
