@paolo-n2000 It's a timeless for me. Growing up in Austin, TX we were exposed to all kinds of music and as soon as I heard of these guys my instant thought was. This is Manchester!
Wua! Sings like Bobby Primal, looks like Mark from Ride, dances like Bez from Mondays, sounds like Charlatans - I was totally blown out by this song, good old indie music scene. Things go in cycles - and this sound will surely come up again one day, with Jagwar Ma as an avant-garde
Far out, such memories of this tune: early Feb 2013, I borrowed an old Magna to drive up from Melbs and visit my girlfriend in Canberra. Put on ABC and this tune came blasting out as a new thing fresh out of Sydney. Such a ripper summer evening, went out to get some dinner, chilled to this tune, great times. Oh man and its been over three years now, unbelievable how time flies.
There are so many underrated Australian bands. But you know what? If we can enjoy them here, they don't have to blow up in America or Britain. It's why I like living in Australia. We get our own thing.
Always loved ya and even more now I'm convinced you inspired Confidence Man who just rocked Glastonbury something rave silly. Utterly bonkers and brilliant.
I've slept on Jagwar Ma but I'm glad I checked this out. really cool track with interesting production. I like the video too. it's simple but fits the song very well
***** Thanks for the shares, and since you liked those here are some similar ones that you may enjoy, you know tit for tat. ( the last one is pink floydish ) Perfume Genius - 'Queen' (Official Video) SOHN - Artifice DJ Koze - "Nices Wölkchen feat. Apparat" (Official Music Video) Darkside - Heart
They're mad live!! Got the best vibes and it's like there in their own little world up on stage, they opened at the xx in Melbourne and gosh it was crazy I loved it. Too bad the hall was half empty when they were playing and everyone wasn't really paying attention
that's to make it sound more trippy and out-there. it works brilliantly. god, you'd have a field day analysing latter-day Beatles songs if you think this is "out of tune".
Hilltop Hoods are recognized in Australian Hip Hop though, so is Bliss n Eso. I just think these guys deserve more credit. All the bands you've listed have released an album.. Jagwar Ma have only JUST released theirs. They won't be underrated much longer once they get more exposure and a stronger fan base, they're incredible band.
When I hear this I think of Nimbin, the pot capital of Australia; not the goldcoast, which I think is where they are from. Did they relocate there I wonder? This song returns the sometimes ridiculed high pitched male voice back in to the realms of coolness once more, and it shows a sign of a confident singer who knows his voice well. Four out of five crown lagers to me. Cheers!
For what it’s worth I used to Lin that red brick building in 1998 next to the roof top they’re on. It’s the Tara building in Greenknowe in Potts Point. Good times
Hahahahha yeaaah man it was!!!! it was the top 5 goals for league 1 , 2 champ and prem i think! may have to correct me on tht one! but this song was defooo on it thats why am here hahaha!
Brilliant! I hear they are one of Noel Gallaghers favourite bands in the world. He knows what he's talking about when it comes to music. Remind quite a bit of that other Manchester group fronted Tim Burgess - THE CHARLATANS
I LOVE THIS ARTIST! IS AWESOME! HIS MUSIC MAKE ME DISAPPEAR COMPLETELY IN ANOTHER DIMENSION IN MY HEAD. KEEP DOIN THIS PLEASE. I LOVE IT! SO PSYCHEDELIC IN HIS WAY.
Saw these recently in uk, amazing live, so many great bands from australia right now doing this new wave to psychedelic stuff, I absolutely love Jagwar Ma / Pond / WildCohen and Wolfmother! anyone have any other suggestions of new psych bands especially from australia! they would recommend checking out?
The 90's Madchester scene finally made it to Australia.
jagshrapnel so glad it did...finally!
I love them but their entire works seem to pay homage to The Beatles Tomorrow Never Knows.
"Madchester" was late 80's bruh....
@@paolo-n2000 Love the _Translate to English_ option here lol

There are so many underrated Australian bands. But you know what? If we can enjoy them here, they don't have to blow up in America or Britain. It's why I like living in Australia. We get our own thing.

WTF is this? Its like the psychedelic 60s with better electronics and cleaner acid! (Right! I'm old, but I dig this) Far out!

This is awesome "Psychedelic" Dance music... along similar veins of Warpaint, Ratatat or Battles. Just fun, colorful, playful music :D

They sound like they want to be back in the late 1980's with the Stone Roses and Happy Mondays.

that's to make it sound more trippy and out-there. it works brilliantly. god, you'd have a field day analysing latter-day Beatles songs if you think this is "out of tune".

They had some really good people.
For what it’s worth I used to Lin that red brick building in 1998 next to the roof top they’re on. It’s the Tara building in Greenknowe in Potts Point. Good times
atlas genius? - They've got over 1million views on one of their videos but i still consider that underrated for their quality
