I understand the reason for the A/C and the extra switches on the dash, but it does rather take away from the clean, quaint interior that makes these cars so beautiful. I don’t live in a hot climate so all those “amenities” could be done without. Also, while the Subaru powerplant does add power, a healthy VW makes enough power to make the 356 and enjoyable ride. Just my 02¢.
I wish it had manual roll-up windows. I suppose if they had hidden the window switches or maybe if the were chrome, and looked kind of vintage, they might be ok. But not on the dash. I also agree, I like the idea of an air-cooled VW, to complete the experience. But in the southeast A/C is a must have for me. if you've ever tried to run a compressor on an air-cooled VW, you know how much it zaps the power. Back in high school I had a 1972 VW Super beetle that had A/C in it, and I cut the belt to the compressor because the VW engine just didn't have the power to spare. Another thing I hate is carbs. I love old cars, and actually like to work on them, but I'd choose fuel injection over carbonators any day of the week and twice on Sunday.
Very nice presentation and a very nice car. Please do bring more replicas to your channel as it is something I am very interested in seeing and learning more about. As for the trivia question on the gauges; the tach on this car wasn't in the center as is the normal Porsche way.
They never mention the price in these ads. A serious person will call and ask. For the normal ham and egger, we’re just curious as to what they’re asking. I’m guessing around $60,000…
I think I missed the make of the engine on this beautiful replica??? Please have more replicas and if they're for sale, tell us the asking price. Txs, Skip
Hey Kenneth! You were right about that. This is one of those rare vehicles that I will probably only get one chance to feature in a video. It was a lot of fun.
The Porsche badging on the front looks tacky as it does not conform to the lines of the car. Should never have been put on. Other than that, very nice execution of a 1957 356a.
Love the '57 Porsche 356. I had a '63. Keep 'em coming!

Simply fantastic! Beauty of its time and modern in usage!

Porsche logos on a replica with a Subaru engine? Yeah, that's terrible.

Looks very desirable, is it on a beetle pan or a custom built one-piece unibody?
230 bhp ,is to much for this little car . and the quality of the finish on the build ,not great
🫣 What a blabbermouth
