Thanks so much, AK. You and Sifat did an excellent job showing and sharing your visit to the Din Tai Fung. It looks amazing and now I am starving for some of their food. I am sure you really enjoyed your meal and thanks again for sharing with us.
That was a great experience...thanks. The vegan dumplings, honey lemonade and cucumber were my favorite dishes. The decor and ambiance was very delightful. 🌴
What a beautiful restaurant! They captured the sophisticated vibe of the city, incredible lay out, decor and lighting. The viewing of the chefs making the homemade dumplings was an amazing experience. The food was beautiful, looked so fresh
Hi AK, I know you've been watching for the grand opening and the place looks amazing. I'll probably never get to see it. I think it's great that you and Sifat got a special invite. You both add such a positive vibe to your walking tours of NYC for all. 👍👍
Woohoo, you finally got to try Din Tai Fung in NYC!!! 🤩 This location is so upscale and spacious, and the dim lighting gives it more of an intimate experience. 😲 8:57 Their Vegan Dumplings are delicious! 😋 All of the dishes look good, and it's nice you got to enjoy the soft opening event with Sifat. 😃 Thank you for sharing this highly anticipated review, AK! 🤗
This is awesome! I been to Din Tai Fung in Hong Kong and Las Vegas. They have so much to choose from. I never know what food to get there. 😂 It looks like you guys had a yummy time!😊👍🏻
Glad you got to try DTF. You took us so many times there in your livestream, I feel like I have to try it too. The best Bao I had was in Chinatown in London, gotta try it in this restaurant too.
Nice Actionkid. Wow that’s so nice that your friend the NYC Walking Show had to join you along for dinner. That’s really Cool. The place looks beautiful.
My SO was somehow able to get an invite to DTF so we tried it out last night, ambience was great, which is to be expected since its in Broadway. Food was good, but didn't blow us away, was not worth the wait and price. Pricing is on the high end but you're not just paying for the food..but the "experience" and the hype. It's a nice place to take someone out for date night. Reservations are booked a month in advance which is insane. Plenty of better tasting food elsewhere for half the price or less if you just want a good meal.
As a Guyanese Trinidadian Indian American 🇬🇾🇹🇹🇮🇳🇺🇸 I’m also related to East Asian culture and Buddhism ☸️ I’m related to Bihar India and the Austro-asiatic culture and I always wanted to go see china town in nyc also I love your content and I sub to you ❤️
Old AK has connections to be invited to a soft opening of that restaurant , I would prefer that ox tail soup at that place in Jamaica AK visited about three years ago .
I ate there as well. the space was amazing. staff and service was amazing. food was MID. the best dishesi ate was the dessert. better spots to eat around nyc. unfortunately, DTF invited many influencers this week to eat there and all were like "wow so good!! amazing". real review: all the food is MID as the kids say these days. I paid for my own check where as invited influencers did not.
4:20 Ni decor in that restaurant ,everything looks great 😎9:30That Menu looked great , and what comes to your foods they all looked delicious😋It was nice to see Sifat too🙂Thank you for sharing this dining experience A K🙂👍!!!
Been to DTF’s around the world and I would say besides the decor and the fact they serve amazing cocktails, the food and service was really subpar. In NYC? I’d rather go to Nanxiang for XLB.
Why don’t they just have one bottle of pre-made soy sauce mixed with vinegar, that save the trouble of mixing every customer 😂 And customer have the correct ratio without asking servers to mix it for them if they need refill
strictly for shanghai soup dumplings, go to Deluxe Green Bo in Chinatown, only $12 and just as good if not better than DTF. And I have eaten at a lot of DTF's. I ONLY get 3 items at DTF - soup dumpling, beef noodle soup and string beans... the rest of the menu is just blah.
Green bo is good for their pork bun, I tried their soup dumpling and is meh, willing to try DTF in the future to test. Soup dumpling so far is the one on Bowery street and Nan Ning
I agree. While I love soup dumplings I didn't think the Taiwan DTF was that impressive. I mean, probably because there are tons of good dumplings everywhere and beef soup noodles there was overrated as well. Looking at this NYC location w that kind of vibe and spaciousness, the prices def skyrockets.
I went to the one in Taipei 101 years ago and wasn't blown away. But I did wonder if it was just a mismatch in taste. Not alot of Taiwanese food I've tried hit the spot for me.

This was fun to watch, I'd love to see you do more food reviews!😊
So jealous you got to go to the new NYC location. Glad you went and thanks for the review!
Much appreciated! I'm happy it's finally here!
Thank you ActionKid! I live in NYC! Can’t wait to try this place! 😀

Thank you for sharing your delicious dining experience! Love your videos especially since you’re not camera shy.
You're welcome, it was such a great experience
Beautiful restaurant, I would love it. So good to see you and Sifat together for dinner. Hope it was a fun time for you both.

This Din Tai Fung is outstanding
This is awesome! I been to Din Tai Fung in Hong Kong and Las Vegas. They have so much to choose from. I never know what food to get there. 😂 It looks like you guys had a yummy time!😊👍🏻
Wow must be so cool to be the first few guest to try it before the opening. I can't wait to go too!
Wow! The food and chocolate bun looked amazing, AK. What a wonderful dining experience it must have been! 😊
A place to try!! Looks exciting and yummy 😋.
❤❤ Hi This is Am. 😊 I was your server that night. Thank you for dining with us and hope to see you again next time. 🥟🥟
You were amazing Am! Hope to see you next time too!
Woohoo! 🎉 Yayyyyyy 🎉 Thank you for sharing! Delish awaits! 🤤
Glad you got to try DTF. You took us so many times there in your livestream, I feel like I have to try it too. The best Bao I had was in Chinatown in London, gotta try it in this restaurant too.
Last time we had DTF was in Taiwan, so it's awesome that they're now on the East Coast! 😋😋
Yes, they’re finally on the East Coast!

The food looks absolutely delicious 👍🏽
It really was!
Wow. DTF also just opened this week at Disneyland too 🥟 A MAJOR Expansion moment for them!!!
They really went all out here! I guess that's why they took so long to get to New York. They wanted to make a big splash.

I recommend their beef noodle soup, it's the best on the menu
WOW! So good!
Hello AK, you make me hungry. I'll stop by at the beginning of August. 😋
Ok, maybe I’ll go there one day. Especially for that vegan dumpling. 🤤 😅
I tried Ding Tai Fong at Taipei 101, it was excellent.
The young chow fried rice tasted excellent
Love their vegan/vegetarian options, I leave full & satisfied.
Wow!!! The restaurant is gorgeous and the food looks delicious!!!! Great video!!!😊
It's such a spectacular restaurant!
We have one here in Santa Clara, California😊
'Little bits of egg all throughout the egg-fried-rice'..?..😂. Glad it was an enjoyable experience!
Can’t wait
Spectacular restaurant!
NYC looks to be back
Thanks kid ❤
Awesome review AK! There are two locations here in the Toronto area. Will definitely check them out.
I've got to try this place.
Old AK has connections to be invited to a soft opening of that restaurant , I would prefer that ox tail soup at that place in Jamaica AK visited about three years ago .
Mars 2112 used to be located in that same spot.
Hey AK, you are a VIP now. Thanks for the tour. Nice to see a new Chinese restaurant uptown. It is huge.
Thank you so much!
Thank you I gotta try this place

I read on Eater New York that the pork for the American restaurants comes from a farm in Iowa.
AK always eating

Loved the decor in the new Din Tai Fung!
@@ActionKid It sure was nice , on my comment missed those ..ce i just noticed that lol!
Nice decor i’m not sure that why i didn’t noticed that typo until now🤔
Wow food & place looked impressive 👍nice to see you sitting down 😂❤
It really is
this is amazing 🤩 w/ Sifat great 👍
A massive upscale restaurant. Impressive!
Indeed!
The rent must be astronomically high 😳
I ate at their location in San Diego. It was good, but it was not worth the wait. For me, my NYC Chinese restaurant is Dim Sum Palace on 46th street.
Soft opening must be like Hell's Kitchen lol

how is the pricing like for the set of dumplings that you had eaten?
This is where Ewan took Cousin Greg in Succession.
Dude, that's not shrimp fried rice, that's fried rice with shrimps on top😂
5:35 she should tell the management why the Taipei restaurant was better
Just on the design of the restaurant, it's gorgeous
Ha! That bun in London is giving you nightmares, huh?
I didn’t know you could have PTSD from From eating, but maybe it’s possible.
😋
Yeah!
People were dressed up!
NYC has needed another chinese restaurant. Can never find one in the city. 😅
@ActionKid now the big question is? Is it better than Jing Fong?🥴
How can you eat and relax with all the noise?
👍
Chop Suey belongs to a bygone era. Real Chinese food is making its way into the US.
Why don’t they just have one bottle of pre-made soy sauce mixed with vinegar, that save the trouble of mixing every customer 😂
And customer have the correct ratio without asking servers to mix it for them if they need refill
❤️👍🥰
The old Mars 2112, I think?
Bao is not difficult to make if you already know how to make bread.
As a Muslim, I’ve to try out, but only at Indoensia only, since it’s “Halal”.
Looks nice, but 50th Street is not Times Square.
I don’t see any steam at all… “outstanding”.
FINALLY we get a damn DTF. Took long enough. Hopefully they have the black truffle mushroom dumplings. I need to order a big box of those for lunch.
Group trip!✈
Looking good 🎉
Shanghai Joe’s tastes so much better than Din Tai Fung. I was so disappointed at DTF when I got its dumplings in Seattle.
Where is it located?
1633 Broadway, New York, NY 10019
@@skyes333 thanks

It seems very noisy but beautiful!
Everything in NY is noisy. That’s why it’s the Big Apple
I’m hungry now!
Mazal Toff
👍👍🥰😍🇹🇷🙏🙏🙏
That restaurant is for the tourist, real new Yorkers know better that in Chinatown it's much cheaper
Why go there when you can just go to flushing
Wow you have a big stomach 😅
That's a meal ❓️ all dumplings 🙄👆 not for me
how you gonna walk now
Din Tai Fung looks glorious to me ActionKid!🤩😍 With new foods and stuff!😋🥰 Thanks for sharing that chinese place located in NYC!😎🤗
小笼包手工太沒水準了😢
First impression.. too noisy....
I would never meet at a Chinese restaurant in New York 🤮
Reservation necessary ?
Most overrated place we went to in Taipei. They were nice, but not worth the wait or price. Imagine paying NYC prices wow!

MSG DUMPLINGS
Thank you I gotta try this place
