how do you make other sprites in the level like spikes? i tried using 'If touching color ___' but that doesn't work very well. other than that, good tutorial
u can just change the make it so that the if up arrow key is pressed is -1 and the down arrow is 1, or if u dont like the speed u can change the x and y to a higher number

I understand how to make the background scroll as a sprite, but how do you make the sprite larger than the playing space? isn't there a boundary to how big you can make something?
instead of 0 - scroll y, and 0 - scroll x, the equations i usually use are scroll y * -1and scroll x * -1, but they both have the same value so whatever.

just make another sprite called "hitbox wall" wich will be the actual wall, and then make another wall called "bg wall" wich will be the rest of the wall/ the part of the wall you dont hit

So this is really great. I did notice if you don't use a hitbox, you can run into some bugs if alll the costumes arent the same dimension. Good tutorial tho!
The only bad thing about this is that if a edge is slitly tilted then the player gets calt on it. But otherwise this is lovely better than griffpaches tutorial on this topic.😀😀😀😎😍😍😘😍😗😘😗😂😶☺

hey i figured it out! On the custom block change the if to a if else. Then in the else section do change scroll x and scroll y by -1 x X and Y.
And how do you do a square colition

There's a common size loophole that allows you to set the size of a sprite bigger than the limit. I might do a tutorial on that soon.
Just constantly switch to an empty sprite while getting larger
