Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah is always consistent, forthright, and cerebral. I wish Nigerians in politics would come out of their comfort environment and work on Bishop Kukah's suggestions.
Sometimes when our leaders make statement, they don't know that implication of such statement, this is someone who also benefit from the past. We don't need excuses, fix the country and that's what Nigerians need at this critical time, instead of making statement that can hold water.
Everything you have said is quite true and straight to the point, but every 4 years, y'all keep whitewashing and regurgitating mediocrity and incompetence with those fruitless Peace Accords that seem to lose it's relevance every 4 years
No matter what this illegitimate government does without fighting corruption and cutting down the cost of governance significantly, it is wasting our time. A government that emerged after a corrupt electoral process like we had in 2023 is incapable of fighting corruption as corruption cannot fight Corruption.
There is a gulf of disconnect between the government and the citizenry at national and sub-national levels. The FG needs to interact with and engage the people more closely, constructively and cohesively. There is need for strategic communication and a more friendly form of populist and participatory engagement.
I will be honest that I don't quite enjoy how soft we go on this government as though they are not all that too bad. This government is the worst in Nigeria's history.
Tinubu stole a mandate and was never elected. He has no interest whatsoever in the common masses. He and his family are aiming to be at the top of Africa richest list by the time he is done with Nigeria. See how he is undermining Dangote’s refinery? How can a patriotic president do such an economic sabotage of the country he purports to lead? He is neck-deep in oil importation from his own refinery overseas.
Who else is seeing what I'm seeing?? First this current administration ensured that Local Governments gets their financial allocation directly from the Federation account, that was successful l; Secondly, it's trying to ensure that you get what you contribute to the national purse through this tax reform.... This seems strategic to me.... My thoughts actually.... I could be wrong
I see what you're trying to say here. You're thinking a sort of restructuring is going on low key in such a way that Federal system remains in tact but a sort of autonomy has gone to the federating units
Please don’t believe in these gimmicks! The LGs are beholden to the same corrupt system that is at the federal and State levels. Their chairmen and women are drawn from the same political parties as their governors, chairmen and senators etc. No LG is independent or immune from interference from their political godfathers. Just see the problems in Rivers over money! On taxation, you are also too optimistic because NNPC made more money than will ever be collected from taxation but everything was stolen. Don’t pin hopes on this corrupt politicians. We need a total break from these breed of thieves.

Dear Rev Bishop, you are rebaptised with a new name (Bishop kalu nwaoha). Remain faithful and blessed.
Thank you Bishop, the Bills are very necessary for Nigeria's progress...
Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah, always a delight to listen to any time any day. A great patriot of our time.
Almighty God will continue to bless you Bishop Kukah for comments and analysis .
Spitting hot facts as always. But what could change this dangerous trend. This cannot be sustained.
Bishop Matthew Kukah. Well said. 👍🏽
So glad to see Bishop Kukah
What Nigeria need is to renegotiate terms of association. Then the reform of institutions can begin
My Lord Bishop
You are right ❤❤❤
I'M JUST SO PROUD OF BISHOP KUKAH.
THANK YOU FOR THIS YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS.

It is unfortuante to understand our decay as a country. What do we do?
Imagine a lazy senator saying the bill is dead on arrival without taking time out to read it.😂😂
I pity Nigeria.

Tinubu won and is the president now.
@dsd-dugbe It's a pity I don't think you understand English language. Mind is such a dangerous thing to waste
One basic thing i have discovered in life is TALKING IS VERY CHEAP
May God help us in Nigeria
Can the Kukah center sponsor a bill in parliament which have these reforms and mobilize people and politicians to buy into it?
