I've been doing this workout for 4 months, 3 days a week no cheat days. Increasing weights 10 pounds a week except leg press which I increase 20lb. I wanted to "level up" this workout, and a friend of mine who has lifted for 10 years suggested:
      Swapping leg press for squats
      Adding calf raise machine
      Adding bicept curl machine
      Any opinion on those additions?

Exactly! I go to the gym and i keep seeing these buff peeps pushing some weights and then pacing up and down for a minute then pushing some more weights...now I know they were taking a break between their reps. The 4x12 really helps me get started and see where I stand. I wonder if there is any "golden rule" about how much you should rest between reps?

Thank you (: i just started going to the gym last week + had been looking at videos for a while before joining, but your one is the first that's clicked + fully made sense to me (:
Especially since these are pretty much my favourite machines at the minute - many videos inlcude free weights + I'm not ready for that just yet

Good to see I've been doing some things right, I normally do it in long runs about 2 hours but that's because I know my body can handle long runs. Side note when your used to this routine then add in even more, but only once this becomes second nature.
