Tatums just thinking "you want me to behave with no shnacks? seriously? granny, either have shnacks or ama be a nightmare" 😂😈 Winnie is so pretty, i love her colouring!! xxx
I used to show horses and it can be a lot of fun. It’s interesting how livestock shows are about breeding and horse shows are about training. I’m very encouraged by your success! It gives me hope as a home breeder to produce excellent goats with some good sense, guidance, and some good genetics!
P.S. I snort laughed when Daphne threw herself down on the ground. In hindsite I hope you will find it hysterical but I am sure you wanted to be invisible at that moment. 🤣🤣🤣
I was on the fence about signing up for all 3 rings for a show we have coming up. This proves you always want a second (and third) opinion! Congratulations!!
I used to show horses for years. It takes a lot of patience and repetition, but they will get there! Use high value rewards in the begging until they start to understand what you're asking of them. Your goats look beautiful! Can't wait to see how they place in the show!!
You have worked hard and planned carefully, keeping genetics and sound physical qualities uppermost on your mind, you and Tatum earned this. I am not surprised you came away with an award...or several. Congrats!
DaNelle... you should be so proud of yourself & your does‼️ 🐐 Tatum is a GRAND CHAMPION 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💜💚🧡💜💚🧡 So glad all your herd betterment has been so beneficial ‼️‼️💜💚🧡
My niece showed a lamb at the SouthEast Texas State Fair and one thing I remember was when they took off points because she got between the lamb and the judge. Never cutoff the judge’s view of your goat. Love your videos!
Just seeing you in the ring is so exciting! It's awesome you got to hang out with Crystal and fam! It's all a learning experience and you will be able to handle them better next time!
omg i had no idea we would actually show goats in this video. What a great surprise. I thought we would just observe training for a bit and I was really looking forward to a goat show, and then, you took us there. Wooo Hoooo. And then the Beautiful Tatum wins Grand Champion and Best In Show. This bodes well for your lovely goats. I was cheering and clapping like a high school cheerleader. This is just the most fantastic thing.
I show cows and I’m so glad that more ppl are getting into showing and it does take a lot of hard work but it’s so worth it when you step into the ring 😀
Shows are a lot of fun, and can get you lots of other goat friends and mentors! I am so glad that you guys had fun! Also, don't feel bad that Daphne acted up, it's the age! Pygmies do it all the time!
Congratulations!!! That has to be the best feeling after having trouble with the goats cooperating in the ring. They looked amazing and it brought tears of joy to my eyes seeing you show them.
Tatum is a gorgeous goat Winnie is a gorgeous girl she has beautiful blue eyes It’s great to get them started young I think Daphne is going to be a amazing show goat she has such amazing colors
I remember when I tried to train my dog. It was a comically horrible experience. He pooped during his routine. I’m thrilled for your sweet goat success! ❤️🐐
We’ve all had those kind of show days! The best way to prepare them (at least for llamas, I assume goats too) is just repetition. Just handle them a lot! It doesn’t always have to be practicing setting up, or walking. You can get them out to graze on the lead, hang out with them in a new place, or we always took our llamas on trail walks-they loved the outing and they got used to so many stimuli as a result. Congratulations on grand champion! Welcome to the world of animal showing. ☺️☺️
I’ve been showing goats for about 9 years now and I have full size toggenburgs and saanens. We love the goats and their personalities! ADGA shows can be very complicated but it gets better the longer you do it!! Congrats!
Congrats on grandchampion!!!!!!!!!! i show rabbits and have been wating for a good time to show my doe grizzly. i had a netherland dwarf bunny october but she sadly passed last year but when i did show her she got 1st place!!!!!!!!
Oh my gosh, congratulations to you and Tatum both! 🎉 What a wonderful recognition of all the work and planning you've all put in on your breeding plans! 😊 And Daphne was such a brave girl through all those baths, training, traveling, and new people. With all your experience dog training I'm curious whether it's helped with goat training as well. If you ever get the urge to try clicker training with the goats I'd love to hear if it works as well as it does for dogs and horses 🤔😉
Training them with the distractions is great! They learn what you expect with all of that, then they get to the fairgrounds with all that mew stuff, and they can still perform adequately!
Omg im so excited for you and Tatum. As your confidence in yourself builds the goats will sense that energy and things will go better next time. Keep your head up and know you did n incredible job.
I’ve been in the hospital for exactly a week today. Had emergency surgery yesterday and I nonstop see doctors. Thank you for making my hardest days great again!!
Show tips: start off with haulters het them use to washing and leading and after that move to a collar now, don't be shy they will fight no matter what they may sound like they are dying its just them being dramatic. Watch shows and see what the judge likes. Always watch that judge. You should always be on the opposite side of the goat than the judge is on like the judge is on the goats right your on the left. Keep your goats head up high. Square your goats feet up and stretch them out. Then you will be golden
It is!!! AKC is more clique-y, UKC is more beginner-friendly, and if youre going to be an owner-handler, you have to learn extensive grooming for your breed. It's definitely not as easy as a quick shave-down in the backyard!
@@romeliaanddixie You could take her to conformation class's to start with. I was a junior handler and I showed other people dogs and my dog once. But preferably its easier to start handling them as puppy's and have good obedience along with it
@@romeliaanddixie The more you train and have a idea on how to do it with classes the easier it will be to be signed up and show in the ring.. I had fun but bigger shows were a little nerve racking
@@silvershadow013 yup exactly :) my two border collies who are sheep dogs also have a spot on their tounge, it wouldn't put me off getting a dog/sheepdog if they didnt it's just a fun little thing I like

Daphne wins for personality. I can’t handle her little tantrum. So stinking cute.
I know, she reminds me of my toddler 😂
Her little tantrum was hilarious
I had to laugh when Daphne flopped on her side and decorated herself with wood shavings. That was a cute little goat temper tantrum.

Sounds like focusing on Tilly's line for breeding was the right choice! Congratulations!
Thanks! I’m so excited about Tatum + Zorro babies!
@@Weedemandreap I am more curious what the babies will turn out with the new Buckling will be.
Daphne reminds me of going to Walmart when my kids were toddlers... Falling to the ground at the checkout stand..
Crystal is such a nice person ,so is derrick and the whole family
Hahaha i love that Kevin brought a book. He's like "I'm here for moral support and because I love you, my goat-crazy wife"
I love how Elsa is just observing from the corner as Tatum gets a bath
I think she was giving her moral support. She's adorable in how she loves to interact with all the different animals.
i think Elsa wants to get in on all that water... mudwrestling time!!!
Yeah!! Grand champion on her first time!# that's awesome!

Tell me why I'm CRYING over Tatum! I'm so so proud of her and you guys, CONGRATS!
Ok it's not just me, LoL 😆
Also forgot to mention that your living the life many people wish they had. Well done ma'am.
I hope one day Winnie gets to perform, and let’s see what score they get!
And maybe u could do Winnie and olive next time to see how they do too
I clicked faster than Luna could run to Mr. Winston. Also CONGRATS!!!!!
