I loved that when I was pizza cutting Doshaguma, it's fur was flying everywhere. Also when I was destroying woulds with CB's phial damage, the wound was a charred black spot and not that white wound what you do with cutting damage.
Darn it, I feel the same. For some reason World/Iceborne suddenly felt like an old gen game like going back to MHFU or something. Almost everything felt clunky
You know those specific walls in World that you could run up and then jump off of, and some weapons could do special moves with them, like SnS doing a plunging thrust with tons of hits, or Hammer doing an aerial spinning bludgeon? I found out that those are back in Wilds. There was a wall by one of the pop-up camps that worked like this. But now you can just run up them with you weapon out, with ANY weapon, and if you press the attack button while running up, every weapon can do a special attack from them. I didn't get to use those attacks on an actual monster, but I can personally confirm that those walls are back, and that EVERY weapon can use them now.
I was going to say the same thing. in fact it's been awhile since I used to charge blade and couldn't remember how to put the charge into files so I couldn't figure out how to stop burning the grass around me right away
a teensy tiny snippet i noticed is that apparently godbugs, bitterbugs and flashbugs can now be captured like endemic life, if you use the capture net you get the material but also points for the endemic life capture... in World and Iceborne you would get only the materials and not the creature it self edit: not to mention wiggly lichies
@@0uttaS1TE, capturing with net - yes. As an endemic life - no. Only as a collectable resource. New notifications look as we can place resource bugs as animals at camp (?) on par with other critters.
Only thing I saw was Olivia speaking "monster hunter language" to her Palico, which is funny given we couldn't select that as a voiceover language option in the beta.
I noticed that too! Every npc interaction in base camp and Kunafa were in monster hunter language, but when you talked to them, it would be in a normal language. I’m assuming it as a language option was just not in the beta
I haven't seen it myself, but i read somewhere that the switch axe counter not triggering properly on roars is not intended and apparently it did work properly on a newer build of the game that was used in some other showcase. Not sure how true that is but it would make sense as all other weapon counters work properly on roars as far as Im aware
Well done steaks now also restore your health and increases the max health gauge, similar to an ancient potion. So if your meal effects wear off mid hunt, just eat a steak to get your health and stamina cap back up to max.
That special switch axe move, I'm pretty sure is its offset attack that is basically a counterattack. Quite a few weapons get it and give limited protection while countering the monster's attack. From what I'm hearing, it seems like some moves can't be offset, but I have seen lance still do its offset attack even on those attacks, so maybe there are differing grades of offset attacks that only certain weapons have access to.
IG got a decent invulnerability if you perform a backwards vault. I believe around 1 second of I frames. I didn't know about this until I checked details online after the beta
@@GreenPsychoYeah this is most likely the build that they showed off to the game journalists so I'm definitely expecting it to be much different at release.
Not AS big, but if you perfectly cook a Well Done steak and then time the cutting properly, you get 12 steaks for just one raw meat! (On top of well done steaks replenishing and increasing your max health similar to eating a meal)
Something I haven't heard talked about is how armor skills are going to work with sub-weapon swapping. What good is switching to my LBG if my armor is set up for CB skills?
The developers have basically said that offensive skills will be on the weapons themselves, not on the armor. We'll need to find out exactly what is considered "offensive," but this means you can equip your weapon with the skills you need, using the armor primarily for defensive skills.
Wild definitely has less love for IG. Except for the rising spiral slash loop, no counter no offset no helicopter and easily cuts off your combo by any friendly attacks
There is honestly some love there. I have many of those issues too. But I found wound generation to be much easier with Insect Glaive compared to other weapons thanks to focus mode having the Kinsect add hits on top of your own. My biggest issue with it is the control scheme though.
Unfortunately I don't have a good enough machine to play (for now). So I basically lived for 3 days at my friend's house against his will to simply "give a look at this new game" over and over.
Yeah that’s why I thought it was so weird that people were complaining about activating savage axe now it’s so much easier, you can literally do it as your first attack
I loved that when I was pizza cutting Doshaguma, it's fur was flying everywhere.
Also when I was destroying woulds with CB's phial damage, the wound was a charred black spot and not that white wound what you do with cutting damage.
I'm having Monster Hunter Wilds withdrawals, kept playing Monster Hunter Worlds but its just not the same...
Darn it, I feel the same. For some reason World/Iceborne suddenly felt like an old gen game like going back to MHFU or something. Almost everything felt clunky
Hell nah im playing world after wilds. Gunlance is nothink compared to wilds one
Same. The withdrawal is real and I'm back on World which I love but still 😢
exactly how I feel
I play Gs and not having focus mode makes it feel like a part of the weapon isn’t complete

I think it’s fun that when you catch beetles like bitterbugs and godbugs you squeeze some stuff outta them into a vial and let them fly away
About the grass catching fire; this can also happen from an overcharged/heated CB sword, which is insane detail
I was going to say the same thing. in fact it's been awhile since I used to charge blade and couldn't remember how to put the charge into files so I couldn't figure out how to stop burning the grass around me right away
I'm pretty sure the bow also sets grass alight.
Not sure which one, maybe the marking arrow.

I think that was a thing in World too

@@0uttaS1TE yeah you could grab em with the net but they didnt count as endemic life, which im guessing they do in wilds
I got excited for a second - I love bug hunting, in games and in real life.

Even if the counter attack is longer than the recovery from a roar and doesn't hit the monster, it's still fun to do them from sound
You can carve rotting corpses, if you wait a couple of minutes after a hunt, you can carve the monster after it begins to decay.
Lances can now joust on seikret and it dismounts the player hit by it, perfect for jousting tournaments between monster spawns.

Wilds was awesome and looking forward to the full release!
5:47 He is appreciating the sun; the sun is not a deity to be praised!
There was some thorn bushes that did damage over time like the fire too...
almost half of these are new to me lol. probably because i was too busy hunting and trying several weapons. Thank you!
Fun fact- balahara has bioluminescence when in the cave; a green like shimmer can be seen and fades away when it dies.
The greatsword in Wilds is wild, and I love it. I was a hammer main in MHW and became a greatsword main in rise and can't go back.
That was very informative. I definitely missed a couple of these. I couldn’t catch the blue mouse
Sees thumbnail: SWIMMING IS BACK BABY
I saved clips of my highlights during the beta and I’ve rewatched all of them so many times

The blue mouse can easily be caught with sonic bomb or stunned with a monster's roar
Being able to set grass on fire with the Gunlance made me smile big.
4:00 i noticed that with the switch axe explosions
On the tallest part of the map there was a golden crab or some such but it runs away if your not wearing a ghillie mantle
The switch axe sword parry frames are so long. I might main it just because you can be invincible basically.
well... at least in this beta which is not a main build of the game, so it might have changed already
@@GreenPsychoYeah this is most likely the build that they showed off to the game journalists so I'm definitely expecting it to be much different at release.
I can't remember if this was in World, but now you can run up climbable walls for a short distance with your weapon drawn.
I thiiink you could do it when you were using daggers but other than that yeah I don't think you could.

Thank you
I noticed that firimg the grounding pods at rey dau's face while he chatged an attack staggered It. Havent sern anyone mention It so far.
from cheese to switchaxe, I see what you did there

you can also perfect guard the roars with CB and get the power axe buff going immediately

If you use the sit down emote your character gets a free meal buff
That sounds like a bug
@Ashamran hmm 🤔 perhaps
Found when cb is overcharged in sword mode it can light flames too
Burning grass can do friendly fire though so watch out in nultiplayer
When I played IG my kinsect didn’t fly back automatically when I got on my seikret was that a feature or a bug? I didn’t test it much

4:58 "Has been", means not anymore.
Can you tell me how to use the quick consume feature for potions and mega potions? I never figured that out.
Speed eating was an armor skill on the chatacabra set I believe.
@ I swear some were doing it without the set on and were still able to consume them faster. I could be wrong though.
so i heard there is a way to somehow bypass Capcom auth and license servers for beta
More monster hunter wilds, less tracer arrow.
