The RPO certainly pulled the rug out from under a couple of its London rivals (won’t mention any names) when they appointed Petrenko as their new chief conductor. He’s certainly earned a reputation as one of the best of the younger generation of conductors. Very good playing here from the BA Philharmonic orchestra, performing in one of the most beautiful auditoriums in the world, the magnificent Teatro Colon.

¿Existe una obra sinfónica más maravillosa? Enorme, profundo director. Lamentablemente no pude estar por tener, en el mismo horario, un ensayo. Afortunados quienes estuvieron allí.
