Medicine with a foundation year is such an unrecognised course!
I hope this video gave you enough detail about it and if you have any questions, please just comment or send me a message :)

Hey I got a 5 in English language and a 6 in English literature. Do you think this affect my chances of getting into medicine with a foundation year?

    • @medicallyamber

It may as most ask for a 6 in English language! However, it’s best to double check each university :)

thank you so much for this video. im holding onto the idea of a foundation year just in case my grades are not the best right now in year 12. this was so informative and making me feel more motivated😭. but of course i will try and get the highest grades i can but will always keep my option open with things like a foundation year.

Do you have to complete the foundation year successfully (like pass the exams) to be moved on to the 5 year course? Would you say it's easy/medium difficulty to complete it or is it quite hard? If you fail the foundation year exam do you get any resits? Do you have to apply via UCAS afterwards and redo the UCAT to progress to the 5 year course or do they automatically move you up? I came from Pakistan and here I'm doing BTEC level 2 with English and Maths GCSE. Shall I progress onto A-levels or BTEC level 3. My college can offer me A-levels. I think A-levels are best because I want to get into medicine and good unis don't accept btec level 3 science.
The other thing is that I don't have any GCSEs except my maths and English.... will this effect my uni admission?
