Just a note: Nicole used earlier versions of Grafana and Loki for Explore Logs in this video. Since Explore Logs is now generally available, you can use Grafana v11.2.0 or later and Loki v3.2.0 or later.
In this video we're also using a demo app called Carnivorous Green House. If you want to follow along and set that up + Loki + Alloy + Grafana, check out this repo: github.com/grafana/loki-fundamentals/tree/what-is-loki

If you would like to try the demo online without installing locally, try out this Killercoda sandbox: killercoda.com/grafana-labs/course/loki/what-is-loki

Great intro that answered a lot of questions I had!
Nice touch at 3:08 with the colors of the German flag ;-)

Just FYI, at 7:12 Nicole references a repo link that is supposed to appear on screen but does not.

Hi Colin, many thanks for pointing this out. I belive Nicole added it as an annotation. Would you mind toggling on that feature and let us know if it appears? I am just working on adding more links to the description such as an interactive sandbox with the demo included - Jay

Is this the first video of Loki? Will there be more?

@Grafana can please make a video how to install Loki on EKS using helm charts, storing logs in s3 bucket without using any persistent volumes
