Great Video as always, just got the coiltek 15" and found it to be really stable. Couldn't believe it getting cut halves in amongst iron. Been testing it using lead weight under arm cup and it counterbalanced the coil very well.saves your forearm and shoulder muscles.
whooper of a coil yh definitely going need a harness for the weight but its done really good on the depth. anything deep on pasture you just know its going be old. love them two medieval buckle. Great video. 🙂👍
Hi. Great vids by the way👍 Quick question. I now have permission to detect on a farmers field, however, not sure if it’s pasture for livestock or crop. I was informed that it has been scattered with wood chipping so I doubt it would be pasture come to think of it. I do know that the area was of roman settlement. My question is I have ordered an equinox 800 Would you recommend going over with the stock M.L stock coil 11” first then the coiltek 15x15 Or vice versa. Advice appreciated. 👍
I would definitely recommend the the stock coil first just to get used to the machine first and all its features and sounds. The 15 is a sensitive coil and will bring with it a bit more ground noise .hope this helps regards tat
@@minelabnortherndetexpert1411 Thank you so much for your advice. And the speedy reply. Really looking forward to watching the rest of your vid’s. Goodluck with future hunts and no doubt stopping by with a question or 10.🤣👍
@@minelabnortherndetexpert1411 will do. Also have permission to detect farming land right near the battle of edge hill for a two man hunt back in June just gone, unfortunately mate of mine has backed out. If you are ever in the Warwickshire area and fancy it your more than welcome. Maybe shoot a few vids for your channel. I believe the area of edge hill is a rich piece of Warwickshire history..
Hi Gary thanks for watching I used to have a 15 coiltek for my 705 and that wasn't a problem weight wise .I think it could be the Straight shaft on the equinox that makes it a bit bottom hevey. Unless it's just me getting old 🤣🤣
Hi compared to the 11dd, is the 15 coiltek much heavier? Do you notice the difference a lot? Which is the best in terms of stability and depth? Thank you
Yes it feels much heavier on the equinox but it works well on the open clean pasture feilds not much difference in depth but it is a little bit more sensitive. Hope this help.and thanks for watching 👍👍
One of the main objectives that people want to get a 15inch coil is that they want to GO DEEPER. So far I have not found a review that actually covers that reason and again this one dose not. Many reviews start out well but soon turn into look what I just found competition and forget to actively do the review. The review needs to have an ongoing record of the depth in ground with an average taken and not focus on a pretty object that a normal coil would probably find anyway. So this review fails to give me the information I was seeking. BLNT
Yes Peter i certainly knew the next day that had been swinging it all day, but I was very impressed of the capabilities with it on the smaller targets with depth
I’ve been switching between the 3 coilteks lately, and no matter where I am, I’ve never been able to go above 22 sensitivity, often set at 21 or else the machine goes haywire, is this the same for everyone?
I know it's never hunted out and we all miss targets but sounds like the new Coiltek coil is doing it's job well. I would like to see a side by side real life hunt between the two coils. Thanks for sharing.
Any one own a equinox 900 and use a coiltex coil i read this in a review 1.0 out of 5 stars Not good with Equinox 900 This coil CHIRPS constantly with the Nox 900. Unless you crank the sensitivity down to about 10, you can't hear a thing, even in the quietest ground. But good luck finding anything at depth. So disappointed. There's nothing that can be done for me other than maybe sell it. Report
Cant wait to try out the new 18" Coiltek when they arrive in the U.S.!

Thanks mate great idea with the weight
No worries, got the idea from my Goldmaxx power with the 13" coil. As the control box is under the arm cup on goldmaxx it is perfect balance.
That was interesting thanks for the demo looks the biz that coil cheers 👍👊🎧👊
Thanks David glad you liked it. I was very impressed with it. need more time out in the fields with it 🙂

Great video! I have the Coiltek 14X9 which is heavier than the 15" but it performs really well. A harness is a must with the 15" and 14x9.

Too heavy for me but I can see how it would bring old pasture to life again. Good hunt.

Great video mate I’m definitely interested in buying one of those coils
They are good on the smaller targets mate definitely 👌
Good vid mate. Would you say the ID numbers change slightly with that 15 coil. Or the same as the stock coil
I would say the same mate but only had one hunt with it and Didn't hit any coins so mybe a bit earlier to tell 👍
good vid coil look a beast like my kr40
Always good to have a big one mate 😉😉🤣
