Loved watching Shane shoot his game, Margaret played really well so much skill on that table!
I had the pleasure of meeting Shane Van Boening and Jayson Shaw this past Monday - Wednesday. They both signed my shirt and my cue case. Both class acts.
Fact check please
@@allNDNland what?
Nice
@@allNDNland lol trolls are annoying but this comment need to give props
Sure. And pigs fly on Thursdays at Applebees
I love the overhead camera and seeing what color each ball is. Excellent commentary, as well.
Being able to accurately read the colors of the balls is such a nice thing. I don't know why so many camera teams cannot get the colors to come out. The only thing I can figure if the equipment is deficient for their lighting is poor. Now I just wish that the colors of the balls would be consistent. Sometimes the four ball is purple sometimes it's the 5 ball. Sometimes it seems like the only reason why the colors of the balls change is that they want to confuse International viewers.
A good match. Both played well.
I'm at game 5. Watching these 2 is amazing.
well it gets better XD
Only thing that would make it more amazing would be if they were both naked.
Thank's so much to show.
Normally I am dissapointed from american commentary, but this one was very skillfull and on the spot. Good work, gentlemen!
Jeremy Jones is an excellent commentator
The best
Definitely the best, by a long shot, especially if you're trying to learn the game. His understanding of the game is so deep, it makes him look psychic!
Agreed, he makes every match so much more enjoyable. He might be my favorite of all time
@@rogerharris231 well put. And that’s why he is the captain / co cap
He is very good … very eloquent and very knowledgeable given to the fact that he is a world class player… Love listening to him commentate as i did the late great Grady Parsons… who was also very eloquent and knowledgeable and a world class player
Great stream. Thank you!
She’s an excellent shot. Good battle.
17:58 this commentary is spot on. To add to what Jeremy said, there's also an extra bonus with the Styer family in that their methodical, fully focused, confident and respectful approach to their matches sets a great example for people.
These two kids are class acts when they step up to the table. There's a lot of us out there who could benefit from following their lead 🤣🤣🤣

I like Shane’s new shirt. Great color combo
Did anyone else notice that she was always assisting in getting the balls out of the pockets at the ends of each game? She showed a lot of respect and sportsmanship out there. Great match to watch!
Yes I thought that, class
so was svb its normal to do that
Tyler (her husband) did that too in his match against Shane
Everyone does this
great point. sportsmanship is key.
She a very great player
Been a SVB fan for a while now. Hes stone cold but this lady can shoot. That 4th rack was viscous.
Viscous? I think you meant vicious.
@@omahabigbill2789 lmaooo oops
@@TheRealDarrylStrawberry Actually, you made me look it up because I wasn't sure, and it turns out that viscous is mistaken for vicious a lot!
I noticed this snafu as well.... Leave it to billiards fans to be spelling nuts ....
Jeremy is great announcer, calm and precise.
I'm really, really, really wishing for a Scotch Doubles match between the Fillers and the Styers!
Would be really close
and the Gorst
The Ouschans would probably win!
I’m glad USA won but man was she good..love seeing these matches…wish I could shoot like them!!!
that turned out exactly as I expected
Styer should be proud of her performance. Shane has blitzed far better players under less stressful circumstances ... and all you can ask for is to perform well (relative to your level of talent) when called to ... and she definitely did that. (And looked pretty good doing it).
JJ is fantastic in the booth.
The fact that she had a decent amount of hard shots respect to her for giving us a show
top
Brilliant commentary from Jeremy as always
It is really not fair that there is no money in pool
The talent is unbelievable
Is pool talent any less than Golf or basketball?
Why is there no money?
There should be Millions of $ available
Not win a tournament and get $10K
Any less than that and you can't even pay expenses
Unless you have some kind of endorsement deal
And my average of $10K is for a win !!!!!
played very well
We can't see stats you gotta format the video for the UA-cam ratio
These pool players have a bright future 🎱
Nice shot in the corner pocket 🎱
Men please "arete" from Colombia, future Champion, R.I.P arete
Where are they playing?
1:06:27 so detailed..Jeremy Jones is probably my favorite commentator right now...just awesome
She has a really clean stroke and pre shot routine.
The 9th and the 10th rack was a clinic.
Do they have to break on the line?
Good showing for Margaret. Can definitely beat Pia
Strong showing by Fefilova. As Jeremy said, and knows far better than me, she should be proud of that play. It was pretty excellent level, darn good for a guy, very excellent for a girl. She was seriously in the running for a lot longer than I expected. To play like that with Van Boening playing fairly solidly, with a couple of minor flubs, but some very nice moderately difficult table runs requiring consistent rock roles. And a few of the signature SVB stroke releases that are always fun to watch, the ones I rarely get right, once in a row.
She is definitely a shot maker and seems to have a pretty good eye for proper position maybe just a little bit better cue ball control and taking a better path to get to where she needs to be and she could be a world beater. I mean every ball she pocketed was with a confident stroke she never looked apprehensive about making a shot not that she didn't look apprehensive but pocketing the ball never seemed to be a concern to her she looks like just a pure shot maker.
And she is only 25yo
I was nothing at 25
she plays strong as shit.. got alot of heart. well done. did better then her husband would have against shane lol
lmao
To be fair.. Tyler is so lucky. Met the guy. Super nice and humble
11:24 that was one of the quickest commentator's curses I've ever seen...
When did they change the colors of the 4 and 5 balls
with 6 and 7 and 3
why dopes the diamond around the nine ball stop it from rolling away sometimes
She’s cool!
What size play cue shafted does Shane playing here?
11,8 mm i think
@@nguyenkhoinguyen8123 Karl Boyes has a nice "what's in the case?" video on you tube with SVB.
Que buen duelo
21:43 OMG even MARIO came to watch !
Cue ball bothers me that they runined the symmetry of the design for their logo. Why not make one of the regularly spaced dots the logo?
is shane playing with a cuetec?
Desislava Bozhilova ❤
Gorgeous reff
Красиво!💃
Fefilova is a fantastic player. Dry break let her down, otherwise she played a near perfect game.
You must be blind
Pity she's married....... 😢
Pro Players can run Tables. How you see them fail, when opponent strategizes. How can she get out of of safeties, does she know Diamond System, can she kick to get out of trouble, can she leave successful safeties. these "extras" are needed to see to judge players today, since they can all run a table and appear "perfect". Perfect example was/is the match between Gorst and FSR. Both can run. But Player needs know how to prevent them from running. One of best strategic games seen played. -gorst lost didnt have the finer experience needed as described above. Also watch KO at that tournament, unbelievable triple kicks.
@@BenEmberley Married? Is this the girl dating Fedor Gorst?
stupid question … what is that diamond thing the ref picks up off the table after break. why is it better than a rack?
It makes the rack almost the same everytime. Makes it consistanly good.
I think it's called a "magic rack."
@@harper626 whats the life expectancy? the divits must wear out, become larger as balls continue to be broken on top of this plastic piece. Why is it better if holes or divits continue to deteriorate -making rack looser, balls have more play?? How tight is this rack with this system. Didnt see one in person yet. Thanks!
I totally disagree with that one announcer. While Margaret Fefilova might of had a slight disadvantage with braking the balls Van Boening won more games from Fefilova's safety failures. I think she played great!!
not liking blocking in the 9 ball someone explain when this came in and why please ????
@34:29 what did he say, shed-dual?
Schedule.
@28:25 look at the guy at the most visible table absolutely shredding the rack 🤣
Think that's ko ping chung if i'm not mistaken
@@samuelmongrain607 Looks to be Ho Lee Phuk to me
She's gorgeous and plays good. quite the package. Tyler hit a home-run. ;)
How about SVB? Is he cute and georgous you simp?
What a match!
Referee name ??
106:25 This is a shot to set up and practice. Whatta pro.
That is a shot I practice a lot. It has always been troublesome for me. But i learned the Ghost Rail technique from watching Dr Dave and it has VASTLY improved my % of success. On the long shots I make about 50% and on the short ones maybe 80%. My big challenge now is long Blind Pocket shots, ie; cutting backwards across the table
Hustler!
Whats the name of the commentators?
Papa Dios los bendiga
Shane's break on the first rack though
I'm in love
I think I would watch good pool even if it is a replay. I do not always know who won the match beforehand. Comment from a really dedicated billiards fan should probably get a life outside this all-important interest.
She's very beautiful.
I thought I heard that she is Russian. If so, what flag is by her name?
That big beautiful black & red cuetec bag SVB has. It's the best bag ever made. I have one & same 3 cues
I recently bought a cynergy gen 1 svb and a matching smart extension. Loving it!
What 3 cues are they?
Desiree I need your signature?
Would love to hear what other occupations, jobs, these players do when not playing pool
This is their job. They practice 8 hours a day on non tournament days.
When they replayed the break at the moment Shane was about to shoot, I changed channels.
Who is reffere?
Desislava B.
21:24 is that Stalev?
The picture of the video should be SVB, the better player by far.
Pretty female = more views.
@@JDCullum False advertising?
Did I hear that right ar 1:05:20 that shane has only made 2 million in his entire career from prize money? Pro pool players work so hard playing sometimes 10 - 12 hours a day. They deserve more.
50:53 excellent frame from Fefilova
cue ball went exactly where she wanted all times
Tyler is punching 👊
would be nice if the commentators would takl more about the match at hand rather than reviewing pool history the entire time. Also, are the taiwanese players being forced to use "Chinese Tai Pei" by China in order to play for the potential to be in the olympics eventually or whats the deal?
There really needs to be a billiards channel on tv that just plays these matches all day long.
THERE IS. IT IS CALLED UA-cam.
She moved the cue ball I'm guessing no one seen that before she shot
Whats this new break rule
Wait, is the US Open CoEd now?
It has been allowed as co-ed for a while, but not a lot of women decided to enter. Back in Virginia, after it moved to Norfolk from Chesapeake, I remember Karen Corr playing in it. She did well, almost beating Jayson Shaw. She even got to the hill first. I think she had a dry break, Jayson safed her, and she barely missed contact, and he ran out to tie her. And then he snapped the 9 on the double hilll. (If I'm remembering that correctly.) Except for her though, I only remember Jennifer Baretta playing in one year.
@@phillipschuman4307 Nice! Thanks for the update!
G.D. she's fine!
Маргарита чертовски красивая девушка
Why didn't she do a 4 rail kick on the 2???
Does anyone know what balls they are using
Great match she showed up and played well. No doubt future women's billards is in good hands when men and women play against each other
Let's concentrate on this match, even the racking of the balls instead of showing a chart about the other matches.
@4:50, she knew she was going to foul, so why not leave the 6 in front of the 4 to block it?
Do they have to break from that spot?
No they chose to because there’s a higher chance of potting a ball
In this match I do believe they do have to some matches make you break from inside that box an others your allowed to break where ever that’s not Shane’s normal break spot at all
@@troybrady8311 yeah, I noticed he always breaks from the rail in 9 ball. This seemed odd to me
I'm a pool table installer I'm using my daughters name on youtube but I am a male but anyhow I would like to run a Texas tour in 2023 sponsor would hopefully be partially helped by pool halls , Billiard stores and us installers and perhaps others but we'll see what I can gather up . Stay tuned .
If you were not in Texas we can talk
AL vs Desiree
Use a shot clock!!!
1:04:49 how come she did not take ball in hand here? He deliberately struck the 5 ball to try and safety, when the 2 ball was the lowest number on the table. Just looked up the official UPA ruling and this should have been a ball in hand foul. I've always played it as ball in hand, but I looked up the official ruling just in case something was different here.
She won this game anyway so it wouldn't have changed the outcome of the match, but I'd like to know why it wasn't ball in hand. Also why the commentators didn't say anything. They were on top of everything in this match.
From another comment I learned that he called a push, first shot after the break you can call a push shot, allowed to shoot cue ball wherever, hit nothing, hit any ball, sink any ball including 9 (it gets respotted). After your push the opponent can take the table or pass it back to you
You should check the push out rule.
Why are they NOT showing the Belarusian flag next to her name? Also her name is Margarita not Margaret.
Why is it every time I search for 8 ball, youtube gives me 9 ball and 10 ball matches?
9 & 10 ball are the most popular formats for watching professional pool as the races tend to go faster barring long defensive battles. Also 9 ball is the format ESPN chose for there television broadcasts ,as they could more easily fit them in to an hour long time block.
did anyone notice that table rolls off
am i going nuts or are some of those balls different colors than normal....since when is the 4 ball tan-ish
You're not nuts for thinking they're different colors but you maaaay be nuts for thinking the 4 is tan. It's actually pink in this set but more importantly it's an abomination. For some reason, the billiard ball companies cowtowed to the focus groups that said more people would watch but they can't tell which ball is which. That may have been an issue 25 or 30 years ago but with high definition TV today it's not a problem that needed fixing.
@@chuckn.1367 Warranty the same match I was watching the commentator said earlier in the day a player lost the last game of the match because he accidentally parted the four ball instead of the five ball he must’ve been confused by the color also
Don't know why they can standardize the colors. It's usually the 4 and 5 that change colors in different tournaments.
Seems Manufactures now want there Ball Sets to have there own colors.
what's the deal with all the commercials
1-0 - 0-1
Damn that girl can shoot o.o
Shane looked like he was bored and playing warm-up games for a later match. 💯👍🇺🇸🤣
glad to see more females in the major tournaments. healthy for the game.
pool is such a great sport with the fact that anyone can play
sure if their goal is to compete against men but if their goal is to win well this aint gonna happen.Of course women have beaten men before but still as a sport women sadly wont win.
@@mikescorpio13 Fun to look at in addition to being capable of amazing upsets, but seeing a female actually dominate the sport is a fairytale.
@@mikescorpio13 Why sadly? If you aren't a sexist, then the sex of the winners shouldn't matter.
What if the best pool players were female? Would feminists say it's such a pity that men can't beat women at the highest levels? Would any man say that unfortunately men can't beat women at that level?
They wouldn't say that because it would be sexist and hateful to women.
@@adrrda6091 its logic and reality....get back in reality and you will realize never a woman will dominate a sport VS men.You are full of judgement with not a single idea about what you are talking about while i base my opinion on facts. The sex of the winner dont matter just saying you will never see a woman dominate vs men.
