- Israeli soldiers have been filmed setting fire to food supplies and rummaging through private homes in Gaza.
Forces have also been recorded destroying plastic figurines in a toy store and dancing in desecrated neighbourhoods.
A series of viral videos of IDF troops behaving poorly have created a headache for the Israeli military as it faces international outcry over its tactics in Gaza and the rising civilian death toll in its punishing war against Hamas.
The Israeli army has pledged to take disciplinary action in what it says are a handful of isolated cases.

I am not surprised at all. This is normal for Israel to treat Palestinian as a lesser human. What surprising me is Telegraph reporting about it.
What i cant get my head around is why they are treating palestinians the same way natzi germany treated the Jews.
That is because 70% of palestinians are hamas and hamas sympathisers and as such lesser humans
hamas all fight in civilian clothing and the population helps 'hide' their identities as soldiers.

As the grandkid of Holocaust survivors, raised by liberal, all-people-loving parents of Jewish descent, I frequently used to say the same, but a few years ago I saw a Twitter thread about this that changed my perspective... Something like "The Holocaust was not an exercise in self-actualization," going on to say that it's just as reasonable for victims of ethnic violence to turn inward and become obsessive about protecting their own, give less of a fu€£ about "others," etc. I think a lot of conservative Jews feel this way, unfortunately -- i.e., "Everyone hates the Jews, we're responsible for our own ethnic group 'cause no one else will come to our defense, etc." 😢

It's not unheard of soldiers being disrespectful, but this case is worse than usual. The glee in the eye of the oppressor while it destroys toys and food in a war and famine is haunting.
