Halo. I am from Morocco in North Africa. Morocco is the first country to recognize America. I saw the video that was posted on UA-cam. It is a great video. The area is very beautiful, all of it is forests and the wonderful lake. Thank you very much.
@Hammer Head Perhaps you did not understand what I wrote to you, or you have no knowledge of it. You wrote that Morocco is the first country in the world to recognize the United States. If you do not trust me, go to an Google, then write what was the first country to recognize America.
Thanks for the ride. I started going up to Tahoe, and specifically, to Fallen Leaf Lake (FLL), in 1945, spent my summers up there until Army time in 1963, and there after periodically, the last time in 2017. The stretch from the intersection of Hwy 89 and 50 at the Y to just beyond Camp Richardson is farther than I recall; I walked that stretch and into FLL in 1980. It was great to see old landmarks again.
Che posto fantastico. Ho visto e camminato sul questo lago, ancora oggi non dimentico la bellezza di un fantastico posto come questo. Grazie di questo filmato.
I remember when I traveled there when I was 8 years old, it was my first time in the United States and I will never forget that trip. My family rented a bungalow and we spent Christmas there, I had never seen snow and it was a very magical moment, in addition to making snowmen and climbing a sled. It was an incredible trip and now with my 21 years I still have the desire to return there, I hope that in 2022 I can return. Greetings from Peru 🇵🇪🇺🇸
Imagine a time when Lake Tahoe was even more beautiful than in this video. I grew up in San Francisco and spent summers up at Tahoe and remember how the mountains were snow capped in the summer. Wonderful memories of camping at Sugar Pine Point State Campground.
This video really brings back my memory. We made a long trip from Las Vegas to Lake Tahoe on that day. It was the beautiful twilight time after sunset when we arrived at Lake Tahoe.
1:30 - There aren't even any signs letting you know you've crossed into California. The end of the Harrah's (left) and Harvey's (right) buildings are literally on the border. (That traffic light is just past the border.)
beautiful video. and beautiful time of the day. But it would be better if video was taken 1 or 2 hours earlier. During sunshine time. Then we could read the motel names and signs more clearly. In low light, many details are not captured clearly, by the camera, they look blurred
Wow! So thats what it looks like! 😍 I've only heard about it in romance fictions like Danielle Steele, a place where rich ppl live or go to meet up with their lover or go on holidays 😆 Stunning, does Sydney have something similar? As an Aussie, I'm guessing The Gong? 🤣
Probably a dumb question, but what are those narrow poles that are stuck in the ground along the road? I guess they must have something to do with the forest fires, but what?
wow haven't seen your name come up in a long time...good to see it...snow markers i think...they are everywhere in the national parks and mountainous areas in the western us
@@jutah Yeah, I haven't had the time and the muse to enjoy some good scenic drive videos lately. Unfortunately, one of my personal defects is that when I need relaxation the most, I'm just not in the right head space and mood for it. You'd think that the less free time someone has, the more valuable and enjoyable the little free time they do get, ought to be, but unfortunately it doesn't work like that for me. The less free time I have, the less I can enjoy whatever free time I do get. It seems paradoxical and maybe it is an indictment of my character, but I can only enjoy free time and leisure when I know I got a lot of it. Basically, how enjoyable a hour of free time is, depend on how many more hours of free time follow it. Guess I am a leisure time glutton. hehehe Just a long winded and roundabout way of admitting that I am lazy, but that simple, little word "lazy", doesn't really capture the existential horror of it all. lol Thanks for the answer. I have to admit, I am surprised. I have watched a lot of such scenic drive videos, many of them from American national parks and I never noticed those poles before. That is why I assumed they might have something to do with the recent fires around Lake Tahoe.
Hi, I´m following a lot of such Scenic Drives worldwide. This trip on Lake Tahoe is really fascinating, but the quality of the movie was not really good. Compared to other Scenic Drives it was really difficult to identify the markers on the roadside. But nevertheless, I´ve figured out the route from South Lake Tahoe passing Emerald Bay State Park and ending in Tahoe City, short before you´ve passed Lake Tahoe Dam. One small thing: the route-link in your above displayed explanation is not correct, it shows the route from Tahoe City to South Lake Tahoe clockwise around Lake Tahoe .... Greetings from Germany, I´m living in the southern part of Germany between Black Forest and Lake Constance near the borderline to Switzerland and Austria
So what happened to the fire that was racing in the south of lake Tahoe. I hope they have it fully under control. So sad to see all this going up in smoke. I think they called it the Caldor fire.
To be more precise, This is not 'around' Lake Tahoe, as that implies circling it. The drive shown is a 30 mile segment on the west side of Tahoe. It is a 72 mile journey to circle Tahoe.

I used to hike to FLL from my house, 45 minutes. I was 21, that was 42 yrs ago.
best time of my life
Do you remember Mountaineer Resort and the Pine Cone (?) Motel across from it? I couldn't find either one on the video, 40 yrs, anything can change
As a child, living in Placerville, I loved this place! FAR different than today afraid.
