I guess cleaning and tidying up are difficult when you're that fat. But for what most of these people spend on fast food, you could hire a cleaner from time to time.
I don’t like to judge, unless the people are actually being rude or something because you never know what’s going on/happened in someone’s life. It is an addiction. They can understand that what they’re doing is unhealthy, and want to change it, but that doesn’t mean it’s gonna be easy. They’re likely gonna have slip ups. On days when life gets hard, food is their comfort, so that’s what they want on those days, even if they also want to stop. If you don’t understand it, think of it like a toxic partner: you want to leave because you know the relationship is toxic and unhealthy for you so you want to leave, but at the same time you do still live them and they’re your comfort so it’s harder to leave than people from the outside think, because they don’t know what your connections/struggles are like.
It sIays me that they can say with total seriousness, idk why I didn't lose weight with how hard I have been working. ObviousIy that's a bald faced Iie. 😂 It doesn't matter if you change to healthy foods, and then still eat enough to feed a barn full. Talk about being deIusionaI.

I know it has to be hard when you need food to live, to control your eating. It's like telling a drug addict they can only have a little. I hope they get the help they need to save their own lives.
usually it's parents who just want their kid to keep quite and not put up a fight. they want them to be submissive, so they don't have to put up with teenage drama. Happens all the time.
It's much harder when there's multiple enablers. When I was living with my grandparents, my grandma was very overweight and had uncontrolled diabetes. When I refused to bring her unhealthy foods or buy snacks she would get irritable and so the other family members would get mad at me. If I ever challenged what people were giving her or if I asked her to reconsider eating something and try a healthier option everyone would get mad at me and it strained my relationship with my family so much I eventually gave up trying and would just hand her the garbage she wanted until I stopped helping out and moved out to finish school. Sometimes it did seem like my grandma wanted to change (or maybe she was just trying to placate me) but when other people involved have no tolerance for the stress that change causes, all they want to do is placate the person they're enabling and keep the status quo so they don't have to deal with the strain on their relationships. My grandpa thinks she would divorce him if he didn't enable her bad habits and this was too devastating for him to deal with, so all the bad habits stay. Change is hard and the human brain would usually rather creep towards a horrible outcome while wading through pain when each actual step is not very painful, than take a few excruciating steps towards a painless and better future. Our brain likes habits. Our brain like things that dull the stress immediately. It takes a lot to accept discomfort for the distant promise of long-term comfort.
"The food helps me forget the pain for a few moments....." This is why people need to understand that it's more than just putting food in their mouths. And that it's not as easy as telling someone to "just stop eating!" Being overweight involves so much in a person. And a lot of it is emotional. I feel for them and wish them the very best in their futures. I know they're hurting. :(
It's got to cost $3k month to feed her. How does she afford it? Breakfast looked like a dozen eggs, an entire package of sausage links and a whole box of eggos.

FREE WILL , whence is it given, whence does it end? GOD created us 1stly in SPIRIT then formed our flesh in our mothers wombs. Free will starts on the day you born here and ends on the day you depart from here. it is not given nor found earlier, as earlier you didn`t exist. earth is testing ground, as it has became lucifers kingdom. testing ground for us, to show GOD whom amongst us shall be deceived by lucifer. All the answers are pretty clear ones - aren´t these? - MANY are deceived and FEW are not. None of us can`t drag free will beyond humans earthly life, as it is not earlier nor after found nor given. Jeremiah 1:5 KJV Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. FREE WILL is given for the choices which are here on earth to make. Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. Since making choices and being deceived takes place here on earth, free will does not go beyond human earthly lives.

As of August 2023, she had dropped out of the program, but did get married and is trying to lose weight, though not through Dr. Nowzaradan, nor did she have surgery. Probably WW, something like that, but the tiny bit of info available online didn't specify.
It is strange how he asks them what they need to do to help themselves, and they always know. They know they must stop ordering too much food, stop eating mountains of fat and sugar, etc, etc. But they turn up to his hospital, "desperate" for help. They already know what to do though! So he tells them to go away again, and do what they already know they must do, and they are all - "I am so determined to change!" It isn't the bariatric surgery that will save their lives, it is eating less, which they either do, or they don't.
I know two people that have had the surgery and lost a lot of weight in the beginning but a couple of years later they are both back to their original weight or more. So yes it has to be a lifestyle change, they need to put less into their mouth.
@@Nannajo of course it does. But the operations aids in the life style change because it helps combat the addiction to food because they won't have the same desire to eat.
A lot of them were. There was a woman on this show who came from Haiti she was 115 pounds when she arrived in the US and died at over 700 pounds. She said the weight gain came from having kids of course and having so much access to lots of different food which she didn’t have in Haiti and that resulted in her packing on the pounds.
I think what she really need is psychiatrist, planning her overall life to have more tasks and be more active, stressing what her motivation is. The way she answered things as if she hasn’t done much exercise on her mind, she kept asking ppl simple questions which she’s been through herself like how long was the flight she’s just taken
Before my husband was approved for his barbaric surgery he had to be evaluated by several types of doctors...a psychiatric evaluation was 1st step. The process has evolved over the years and every doctor has almost the same plan with a few tweaks here and there.

They're all living with her mother and stepfather, and it's apparently a very small house with not enough bedrooms for them all, so they're doing the best they can. Granted, it would be better to have the daughter in with Mom, but there are likely things going on that we have no need to know, such as the little boy being fearful of sleeping out in the more open living room, and the daughter being fine with it.

It always amazes me when they start off saying they hate their life, they know they need to change, but then its right back to doing what they want.
Whiners..... everyone has bad things happen to them but they do eat themselves to the verge of death.
@@metalmamasue3680most of these people have grown up from kids in this situation! They have no idea what healthy normal portions are or appropriate foods!
Food companies use all kinds of diet jargon on their packaging and advertising … these people are clueless! And they’ve never done before so of course it’s hard!
I think these people need to attend classes from day 1 to learn this stuff! If they are just given a written diet and send home … they don’t know any different! If they cut down fast food meals to 1 a day instead of 3 or 4 they think that is great! They have no clue how many calories are in 1 meal, or what they consume as 1 meal!
I mean addiction can be hard to break
Imagine the trauma.and issues that people go through to end up in this state. The sad thing is that their life is cut so short and there's so little quality of living.
Victim mindset, it will never help. Look at third world countries, they go through the most trauma but you don't see them fat and addicted to food. The quicker one stops making excuses the faster they'll gain control of their life.
Mexico isn't quite 3rd world and they are fatter than we are. The Philippines is pretty bad too. But yea if you are in a situation where you struggle not to starve you aren't likely to develop a food addiction
@@samik3184 actually morbid obesity is a newer trend in many countries, even in rural areas of places like china/mexico/guam/and a ton of other places. granted, being morbidley obese isn't as bad as starving to death, but it ain't a whole lot better.
@@samik3184some people become obese, some kill themselves, some become drug addict or alcoholic. Some people just disconnects or have other mental disabilities. I would Ieave the house and let them have a tantrum before I would give in and feed my own chiId to 💀 I do feeI for them and whatever trauma made them start eating themseIves to being at death's doorstep, but especially when you have kids you have to try to break the cycle and get to the root of your issues.
I know it has to be hard when you need food to live, to control your eating. It's like telling a drug addict they can only have a little.
I hope they get the help they need to save their own lives.
Lmao they would have an atitude all day
usually it's parents who just want their kid to keep quite and not put up a fight. they want them to be submissive, so they don't have to put up with teenage drama. Happens all the time.
@@D-nice1976 I swear 🤣
😢😢
It's got to cost $3k month to feed her. How does she afford it? Breakfast looked like a dozen eggs, an entire package of sausage links and a whole box of eggos.
I've thought the same thing.
Really guys these women have enough to overcome without making disparaging remarks.
disability and food stamps. we the taxpayers pick up the tab
A lot of the time these ppl get food stamps and disability, AND there is someone in the household who holds an actual job, like a relative or spouse. Btw all that they can afford it
I've always wondered where the $$ comes from. They don't work so must survive on Social Security, food stamps, what their enablers give them, etc.
I’m definitely hoping she helps herself and follows the doctor’s instructions. Especially so she can be around for her children for longer. Praying for her 🙏🏼
FREE WILL , whence is it given, whence does it end?
Deuteronomy 30:19
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
Joshua 24:15
And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
Since making choices and being deceived takes place here on earth, free will does not go beyond human earthly lives.
Her children will all be obese her son already is so is her mother god knows how much they spend on food must be getting money from somewhere America got a big problem with over weight people and only going to get worse
As of August 2023, she had dropped out of the program, but did get married and is trying to lose weight, though not through Dr. Nowzaradan, nor did she have surgery.
Probably WW, something like that, but the tiny bit of info available online didn't specify.
Emotional eating sucks but you gotta be tough and not enable.
Shame on her mother for giving her all that food. And shame on her for eating it.
And shame on both parents for being enablers.
Shame on all of them! They're all parents making poor decisions & not just a while, but for YEARS! Some people never mature.
It is strange how he asks them what they need to do to help themselves, and they always know. They know they must stop ordering too much food, stop eating mountains of fat and sugar, etc, etc. But they turn up to his hospital, "desperate" for help. They already know what to do though!
So he tells them to go away again, and do what they already know they must do, and they are all - "I am so determined to change!"
It isn't the bariatric surgery that will save their lives, it is eating less, which they either do, or they don't.
The surgery helps them not have the cravings.
@mariegro09 The desire is still there unless they want to change their eating habits, they will find a way to eat high calorie food.
@ Ruth, TBH that's like saying "rehab can't save an alcoholic's life, because they already know they drink too much!" LOL.
This is heartbreaking. I hope everyone that wants to get better finds the courage and right plan for them to succeed.
@2:20 "...you were healthy before?" 🤣 Excellent sense of humor!
Absolutely mind blowing how big that breakfast was.
dude, no kidding. like, just one plate could feed me for a few days at least
I think what she really need is psychiatrist, planning her overall life to have more tasks and be more active, stressing what her motivation is. The way she answered things as if she hasn’t done much exercise on her mind, she kept asking ppl simple questions which she’s been through herself like how long was the flight she’s just taken
I don't understand why Dr. Nowzaradan doesn't send them to therapy right away. He knows their eating is from trauma.

The good ol “Suck it up” mindset the elderly have.

For those with kids it's amazing how little they care about their kids. Each time they pig out they're basically saying they don't care about their kids. It's truly pathetic to let it get that bad.
I think they care a lot, they're just easily manipulated and don't know what to do. You're underestimating how addicts play the people around them and how hard addiction is. If someone has anorexia would you blame the parents for not forcing food on them. The family can't help, only them and professional help can

And her mom and stepdad shouldn't have to pay for her living and EATING expenses!!!!
And the cost of the food would surely let them have better accommodation
They're all living with her mother and stepfather, and it's apparently a very small house with not enough bedrooms for them all, so they're doing the best they can. Granted, it would be better to have the daughter in with Mom, but there are likely things going on that we have no need to know, such as the little boy being fearful of sleeping out in the more open living room, and the daughter being fine with it.

people need to realize this is just like drug addiction. You wouldn't enable your drug addict family member by giving drugs or money for drugs, so please don't succumb to their requests for more food. Food in here is the drug they're addicted to.
If it's just like drug addiction then can you explain to me why alcoholics and druggies can't get free housing, EBT and a free place to live??
