    As fun and non-serious that this video is meant to be, I absolutely love how it definitively shows that 'knowledge is the most valuable asset a person can have' and that having experience through self-learning or university education can help you even when you start from zero money. Props to you man, this may not have been your intention but you will inspire so many to stick with learning in whatever form it may be.

    • @NotSoCrazyNinja
      @NotSoCrazyNinja 4 роки тому +6

      Knowledge isn't THE most valuable asset, but it is an important one. Determination and skill are also important assets. Skill is only gained through experience, so knowledge and determination are key assets to gaining wealth and freedom. You can have all the knowledge in the world and still be poor if you have no determination. I'm sort of in that boat. I have loads of knowledge, but lack the determination to put it to use, but am working on that.

    Many factors are not taken into account in this video:
    1. Funding for remodeling the purchased properties (large initial cost)
    2. Appreciation/depreciation of the purchased properties (largest potential cost/profit)
    3. Non-systematic risk associated with keeping the properties rented out
    4. Contract costs and fees
    5. Fixed property ownership costs (maintenance, insurance, tax)
    Those are just the ones off the top of my head. I'm sure there are more based on your location/local laws etc.
    You are basically renting a property, then renting it out to someone else at a higher rate.
    It's like finding a car for sale on ebay and re-posting the same advertisement on autotrader for a higher price and with your contact info
    However, you're taking up a much bigger risk with the potential of a bigger payout.
    It's like choosing to play Black Jack with $5 a hand or with $500 a hand.
    What happens if you can't find renters for a few months while you still need to make payments?
    You go bankrupt. Then you start going underwater. Quickly. Losing thousands of pounds per month. Losing money you haven't even earned yet.
    Most people have no idea of what lies behind this whole ordeal. Lots of young people end up in debt for the better part of their adult lives by attempting similar schemes. It's a fact.
    I do have to give you credit for your eloquence and way with people, though. It's very important to build relationships with others and increase your social network.

      You know you have to be good at marketing. That is a very important skill when it comes down to trying to get people to rent what you have. The reality is you could do it in probably less than an hour. Posting on various sites, and then sit and wait you are almost always going to get a hit before your rent comes up at the end of the month. You just have to think ahead and be prepared.
      Cheers xoxo

    Two things that are really working in his favor that a newbie doesn’t have
    1) knowledge - he has the in and outs of this profession
    2) experience - even when he goes up against an issue he has probably already dealt with it.
    These two garner his enthusiasm and charisma because he has something very solid to stand on. A newbie doesn’t have that level of confidence certainly not justified confidence.
    So in conclusion don’t expect an overnight success, this is not overnight I took him years to accomplish but it does mean that all the little interactions and experiences you have today can build you up too so don’t discount your failures and set backs, recognize that they will be your streamlining agents for tomorrow.

      EVERY COUNTRY HAS DIFFERENT LAWS, REGULATIONS, AND CULTURAL DIFFERENCES! I applaud him for showing how it's possible to go from rags to riches in a week in the UK, BUT the real question is will this work in other countries? Japan, for example, would be hard to find investors because those with money tend to not like westerners. You could try to find a Japanese representative to approach the Yakuza on your behalf, but...it's a huge risk because you never know how that kind of deal would go. My last little comment is I wanted to point out just how close he came to living on the streets. Just goes to show it's not as easy as it looks. Not to mention, he didn't even write up the script he gave to the landlords or the investors, so we don't know what conversation topics he used to seal the deals.

They usually have an option to purchase it at a preset price at a later date. If you have no money, you wouldn't be able to pay the lease payments until you find a renter and even if you did find a renter you wouldn't build up enough capital by skimming the difference between rent income and lease outgoings over 4 or 5 years to actually buy the house. Your income would be dictated essentially by the rental market and the owners mortgage cost, so little margin for profit really.

    • @SilkySnow_
      @SilkySnow_ 5 років тому +20

      @@user-ij1mr9ex3s I don't think you've played very many games trying to claim that, especially competitive ones or extremely hard ones(I can show you some), or ones actually designed to be nearly impossible to beat. Some are designed to let you win sometimes so you keep playing(poker for example) others just kick you in the teeth for being shit at the game, you either learn to outclass the competition or you get buried. Chess is for example built from the ground up for you to lose and win entirely based on your skill, it is the ultimate game of skill, out of 7+ billion people on this planet probably less than a hundred people alive at this moment can beat magnus carlsen and other similarly rated players(assuming they play at their peak and don't fall victim to murphy's law), and likely almost no one can beat them consistently.
      Life doesn't take much creativity if your sole goal is to accrue money either. Look at the society and economy around you, identify weak points in said economy and society, do you have a skill in that area? If yes, congrats you can make money, how much can be made is determined by your level of skill and the skill relative to the competition(and how much there is) around you and the willingness of people ready to pay. Is the answer no? How attainable is that skill? Can you learn it online? Does it require a degree? etc etc. Always remember, Who, What, Why, When, and Where, critical thinking skills are seriously undervalued these days and they will help you tremendously on all levels and in all walks of life. Social skills are probably the one of the most important things to learn, its also one of the biggest pains in the ass skills to learn if you're not a natural social butterfly, since failing at it while trying to learn them can close some doors available to you.

      He goes to DESPERATE property owners who are selling or cant manage to rent out the properties and tries to create value though creative arrangements whether that's him subcontracting the property to AirBnB them(which he doesn't show how he paid to have these units cleaned and furnished), establishing a 1st-right-to-purchase contract at an agreed upon amount and then goes to naive investors whom panders the opportunity to buy the property and makes the difference. To be honest these dolts that buy his contracts are idiots and clearly shouldn't be in the industry because they haven't done there due diligence. Additionally there are state laws and zoning laws that need to be adhered to that he doesn't mention.
      Main point: he is selling you how to profit from 1st-right-to-purchase contracts, re-utilizing properties because the owners haven't considered them(be sure your considered property is zoned for such use), and the other is establishing an owner financing contract with the owners but that usually requires a downpayment, there's a few others too. Just search for "creative financing strategies". Good luck and be skeptical of charismatic people like this guy , their end game is selling you seminar seats and its bullshit all you need is the internet and maybe a real estate class. Good luck.

Networking, and having it all pay off to then give to charity, or away to those who helped. • @guillaumeayotte1497
      @guillaumeayotte1497 5 років тому +14

      It's not only like that. You pay for most of these event wich he didn't btw (if he did, that's extra money, not nothing)... You need the knowledge, the langages. Millionaires speak in a way that poor people don't... He's a millionaire (even if he 'act' like not one, his vocabulary and the way he stand up, posture etc), he has the langages and knowledge of a millionaire. So when he goes to those meeting. They are attracted to him. If you're a real BROKE person, you'll speak out stresses (in urge of making money), unsure, unsecure, intimidated etc. This doesn't drag money because you look to desperate and therefore a high risk low reward kind of deal. So you might not conclude. Instead of investor, go for piling your money on the side and do what he did. Without investor in the equation. So no pay back money, more in your pocket.
