@Brad'sBioactiveBuilds. This video has just earned you a new Subscriber! 😃 I am actually shocked that I have never come across your channel before. This seems to be the most incredible Paludarium I have seen so far. I hope to build One for myself One day. I really like Paludariums, it's like having best of both as it is a combination of a Vavarium and an Aquarium. Out of appreciation to you for taking the time to produce this content to share with us viewers the construction of this amazing Paludarium, the video has now been given the 460th like 🤙🏼to say thankyou very much. Have a great Weekend and take care, Sir. 🤙🏼🙂🤙🏼❤️
@ultimatefishkeeping welcome to the channel and I'm glad u enjoyed the video. This has been a fun build and I look forward to showing you the progress! Hope u get to build a paludarium sometime soon, you won't regret them at all! I appreciate the 460 🤘💯🤘
I have Subscribed and watch this whole 200+ Day series I have a baby iguana in a alright cage. I have watched, listened closely to this series I do really enjoy reptiles and I Love these videos you make! Its so talented how you’re able to build these I am trying to have a lot of reptiles when I grow up they’re on my calming side. I just turned 17 On the 5 Of the November I want to get into architecture And Other stuff so I can learn how to build like you it’s so seriously cool that you have this talent I will Continue to watch and support you and your videos 📍🏆
Welcome to the channel and glad you're enjoying the series! Architecture is a great path to go down, you'll be able to build some awesome enclosures someday.
@TamNguyen-zv9pd thanx Tam, i remember seeing some of your reptile room on fb years ago thinking some day I'll have some cool monitors and enclosures. 🤘💯🤘
Your builds are always amazing! I’m using your arid build as inspiration for a bearded dragon enclosure! Quick question, where do you get your doors for all these builds from? I find that getting custom cut tempered glass, especially for something like a 6x4x2, is prohibitively expensive. Love your vids!
@pranavtekumalla3531 thank you and the arid set up will be a fun build to do! I get my glass cut from a local shop. It can ba a little pricy but much cheaper then ordering an enclosure online that usually has plexiglass
Absolutely amazing build! Can't wait for next video. Can you include the type and amount of zoopoxy you used and model of silicon stamp? I went to Polygem site and there were three types of zoopoxy, I assume you used 307 Lite? About how much surface would the 2 quart kit cover. I also can't find the silicone rock stamps that match the scale of yours. Thanks again for the video.
@ravenwolf64 glad u r enjoying the series! Yes i used polygem zoopoxy 307 lite. Ypubwill also want the thickening agent. Check out Part 2 of the huge vivarium buildni did for a better step by step video. How much area are you trying to cover? The stamp i searched on Amazon. I just searched fake silicone rock stamp
Do you clear coat after the acrylic & drylok? I'm tinting drylok with acrylic to try and avoid using a clear coat. Actually about to start painting right now!
@@bradsbioactivebuilds nice, thanks for the reply! My beardie likes to bite things so I was just checking!. If that's the case I don't really need to tint the drylok with the acrylic, just use it for detail over the top. My day just got a lot easier Lol. Thanks again, you build fantastic realities for your creatures!
@@bradsbioactivebuilds I was going to ask about that too- cleaning with disinfectants and needing to scrub urates and poo off of straight acrylic makes me worry I’d need a clear coat. I put it on my pvc branches and it made such a difference. You don’t have issues with the paint coming off or being damaged when you clean and it’s just acrylic?
@Snake_Therapy nope, not at all. I have 1 completely submerged in water, no issue, my Cumingi enclosure has not scraped off with his long sharp nails. All my builds i have either done 7-12 coats of drylock with no clear coat or polygem zoopoxy and acrylics with no clear coat. All have held up great! Hope this helps
Amazing build!! Can you tell me what type of silicone you are using to attach the foam to the enclosure? Am getting ready to work on a build for a snake, but not sure which silicone is safe.. Thanks!
@raystupka3823 u can use 100% silicone, I generally use 2 different ones depending on the following comments. I also use lexel adhesive when I can wait 2 weeks before amazing drylok or zoopoxy. This all varies on what material I'm building the enclosure out of (pvc, glass, or wood)
@@riccardorotolo no sealer needed. I've done it this way with a lot of my builds, even the ones that are fully submerged in water with no issue. Even holds up to my Cumingi's nails
how many buckets zoopoxy you put in that build? I tried getting my hands on that stuff but they don't ship to the Netherlands =/ and the only company that could had shipped it asked me how much I needed after my reply they never answered me
@SpyrhoTheOneManArmy the vivarium series i did took 20 gallons. This build i should end up using just under 40 gallons. But there was a lot more surface area to cover in thid paludarium. Its hard to gauge, it sll depends on how many ledges and extra features you use. Hope that helps
