Quick correction; The total prize purse for CoD champs was $1 million. The prize money for first place was $400,000, or $100,000 per player. (still a huge amount of money)
In Black Ops 2 (from my POV) you could beat down a lobby solo or as a Clan/Friends and the other team would Forfeit by Rage Quit. And a little less often in MW3 & Bo3 . But other than that, in other CoDs, the lobbies always refilled.
