For me it's easy because first I met him as David Sloan , then as James and then as Cody😀 I feel like it's too hard for him to play Cody because a funny and dumb boy is actually not his nature, I believe in real life he's as serious as David Sloan
James is doing the right thing by going back to Debra Lyn & his son James, Southfork, his father J.R., Uncle Bobby, his brother John Ross & Cousin Christopher. Choosing family & J.R. Learning to appreciate what he always had & has.
He then leaves because JR interferes too much, he wants to plan their life. Something Mitch Cooper had issues with in the early years when married to Lucy.
For a short time J.R became like jock head of the family children and grandchildren under one room. Although I love J.R. as evil as he is it's nice to see his good side once and a while
LOl his movie Class of 1999 II: The Substitute is an even bigger change from Cody, he's way worse in that movie..meaning is acting is so great at being such a villain like character. I thoroughly enjoy it though and he's amazing. I'm happy they have Step By Step on hulu so I get to see him everyday!
I really liked Michelle, but James was smart to choose Debra Lynn..They have a son together and she is perfect for him. She isn't money hungry and would love and stay with him poor or rich.

Because Cynthia Cidre only watched 50 episodes, and only read the recap of another 100. That is why the Dallas reboot wasn't as good. That is why they didn't mention Jenna Wade and Bobby's son that Ray raised.

He's crazy as hell. Michelle certainly had flaws, but over love? A unquantifiable emotion? He needs a woman he can build with, not a liability. Historically women have no problem chosing economics over "love."

I have always loved Dallas but in the later years the storylines gotten more boring and really stopped making sense
