    I have panic attacks, and I've fainted before, and it can be terrifying. Breathe evenly through your nose to take in more oxygen (never the mouth), alert someone you know (you did, that's good), and ground yourself; focus on something visual or something auditory that's fluctuating- keep yourself in the present- pinching yourself and moving limbs to keep circulation going. The trigger was probably dehydration, as you said, and stress can bring about these freaky panic attacks. Just keep telling yourself that panic attacks do pass. A random surge of adrenaline triggered by the body due to dehydration, and it will pass. But of course, get water which you were trying to get. You did handle it very well! I hope you recover from your cold and get back to good health!😊

    I went to Italy in the summer about 40 years ago and felt like I was going to pass out in a restaurant. The server recognized my problem right away and had me drink water with a lot of salt in it - the original sports drink!

    When I am in heat for too long, I get nauseous, shakey and feel like I’m going to pass out. I’ve since found out that I have ms and it’s just the stress to my nervous system, but I understand how you feel.

    Awwe Morgan! I have fainted before and I think it was more scary for the people around me. But I had to chuckle at your story because you say you aren’t a planner, but the way you were trying to plan where to pass out made me laugh. 😁

    I haven’t been to Singapore in about 21 years. I only lived there for the first 5 years of my life, so I can only imagine how different things were for your mom!
    That’s one place I want to hopefully go to within the next few years.

    You have to utilize the vending machines and convenience stores for drinks. The convenience stores can have small seating areas for drink breaks. It isn’t easy to find a restroom if you’re drinking a lot though. Poor Morgan. I had to learn too.

    I experienced a similar situation when we visited Italy last July. It was 106° the day we toured the Colosseum and the Ruins. When we made it to the top I felt like I was going to pass out, I was literally crying but there were NO tears. My whole family was stressing once they realized how bad I was feeling. It was so scary to be in a foreign country and not know what was happening and the only option to get out was to walk forever down to the street. If you plan to ever visit, avoid the summertime. They also do not believe in AC.

    The biore is ethanol based which is why it has a quick dry, and no white cast. There is another (not as good as the imported version) that is available on Amazon for 15, but yes it's a different formula- but still better than any American sunscreen I've come across!

    Don't feel bad about talking about the heat. I also have heat sensitivity it's gotten worse as I've gotten older. I never would have thought about that with international travel. I'm really glad you talked about the lack of access to ac and water. I'm definitely going to take that into more of a consideration with a trip I'm currently planning! That must have been miserable! Glad you didn't pass out!

    Aw, your fainting story is terrible. I have the same issue, my sister does as well. It always seems to happen at the worst time too. You may well have had a panic attack, but you should look into Dysautonomia- Pots or Orthostatic Hypotension. I get similar epsidoes from my Dysautonomia (I have also had panic attacks, so I know what that feels like too) where you don't feel well, especially standing, then your heart races so you sweat like crazy and shake and my heart even goes into PVCs, and then I pass out. What is happening is your BP is dropping, your HR raises to try to compensate and you go down. It is greatly worsened by heat. Hydration is a huge part of it too. Try adding some Liquid IV to your daily routine and chug it when you feel off like that. But, of course, talk to your doctor.

  • @syadzwanie
    @syadzwanie 23 дні тому +2

    It’s always a good idea to carry a mini backpack or just any bag when you’re travelling in Japan! Japanese people would carry their trash in their backpacks/plastic bags to bring around until they find a trash can to throw it into, or when they get home.
    Also the bigger bag would allow you to carry water bottles (you can buy them in convenience stores like 7/11, Lawson, FamilyMart). A smaller bag would be limiting because then your hands would be full and it’s difficult to really do anything.
    The smaller sling bags like the uniqlo moon bags are great for the locals when they’re making short trips, but as a tourist you’re more likely to be out and about for a longer time and it’s best to have water readily available on hand, especially during summer!
    Also, trash cans are so rare in Japan because of an infamous sarin gas attack where the attackers coordinated and left parcels filled with toxic gas in trash cans or on trains.
    The government doesn’t want a repeat of this so they prevented the likelihood of lethal/concentrated attacks by spacing out the trash cans or placing them in more strategic places like train stops, bus stops (because the locals would likely throw away any trash before boarding)

      My bestie went to Japan. She mentioned the garbage can thing and please pardon my ignorance but I didn't realize that was why!
      I've heard it's otherwise safe and low crime.
      One of her travel buddies accidentally left his brand new phone on a bench and for 2 days tried to figure out where it was (thought he just misplaced it) until they remembered stopping to figure out directions on a bench. They went back to the bench and it was still there untouched. Pretty impressive lol

    • @syadzwanie
      @syadzwanie 22 дні тому

      @@denise8791 Yeah! Didn’t mean to scare anyone, I was hoping to enlighten people why there’s barely any trash cans there. Japan has a very low crime rate, the sarin gas attack was an outlier committed by religious cult members of Aum Shinrikyo.
      Studied in Japan and visited it a couple a times after. I’ve accidentally left my wallet on my bike and came back hours later after a lecture and it wasn’t stolen. I can attest to your bestie, it’s pretty safe!

    I totally understand your hear issues. I fainted from the heat wnen i was young as well. And me and my twin sister get very ill in the heat. We do come from Finland but i think some people the heat affects them really bad. I totally understand. My sister walks around with a handheld fan in the sumner in her house. Its so funny . But its true the heat can put a huge downside especially if you are may faint. Or get stomach pain amd diarrhea. Not fun.

    I went to Japan 8 years ago in July/Aug while being 6 months pregnant. Big mistake. As you mentioned the heat multiplied by 1000. I have a tendency to faint too, surprisingly that did not happen on that trip. Also agree that shopping can be overwhelming there when you don’t know what’s good. Tina Tanaka Harris is an Aussie/Japanese UA-camr who I follow to get recommendations. Thanks for sharing about your trip. Singapore is on my list of future travel, good to know it’s pricier than Japan.

    I enjoyed hearing about your trip, while applying makeup! A restaurant with no bottled water? I can totally understand...I had a panic attack in Italy - it was hot, I wasn't feeling well, my then boyfriend wasn't helpful/comforting at all and the A/C at the hotel wasn't up to my standards. I love that you used two eyeshadow palettes to get your own custom look - that's my favorite to do when applying eyeshadow! You saying "Sephora" when you meant Singapore - I felt that...when you're into makeup, it's such a big part of you...I even Dream about makeup! You saying you're a Vacationer, not a Traveler, makes so much sense! I get overwhelmed and overstimulated (I'm an introvert too) when there's too much moving around, and not enough rest in-between! I like Emily in Paris, I don't think it's a bad show...maybe a bit corny at times, but I love the Paris views, and Emily is adorable.

  • @Neurospicybunny
    @Neurospicybunny 23 дні тому +2

    I'm 1000% with you about the heat! I've always been just a more hot natured person but my sensory sensitivies from neurodivergence along with medications I take make me so intolerant to heat... I just get unreasonably angry and extremely physically uncomfortable. I live in Alabama unfortunately so I don't go outdoors at all in the summer😄 But yeah if you take any medications there are supposedly a good bit that are commonly prescribed that make people more sensitive to heat!

    I also cannot handle heat. I also have kidney disease, so I CANNOT get dehydrated. Sounds like the beginnings of heat stroke to me, not necessarily panic attack. I am a retired nurse. Please read up on heat exhaustion. I won’t travel in summer except for going north,
    Cherry blossom season is in the spring and not as hot. The cherry trees are stunning and when the blossoms start to fall, it’s raining pink petals.
    I got sick in Japan as well. In crowded areas it may be a good idea to wear masks. Hand sanitizer is a must. When you use an escalator and hold on, you must keep in mind that hundreds of people have touched that.

    I love travelling Asia. I used to live in Japan and have been going there every year, as I am bilingual with Japanese and have lots of friends there from having studied there and working in a hospital there. Japan is one of my favourite countries to travel, I always buy a lot of skincare and makeup there too, in addition to clothes and anime merch. I was there last summer and plan on going again next year, I am working my way around the country every time I visit, so next will probably be Hokkaido. Its the only country i use my travel fund on. I love hot weather so I only ever travel to Japan in summer, I never been in any other season but always use a parasol there

I really enjoyed hearing all about it too, nice to see I different side of you! Your makeup turned out cute too! Be hard to mess it up when you have such a beautiful face and I didn’t know you had freckles till seeing this video today too! Very cute I might add lol!!!! What’s new out there in the makeup world? Well I just looked on Natasha Denonas website annnnndd, a thing popped up about a new eyeshadow palette “I NEED A WARM ….” Hmm? I was very surprised because I hadn’t heard anything about it until then, usually all her new palettes are leaked long before she says anything about it herself. I was signed into my account when I was shopping her site, so I think it only will pop up if your on her rewards program, it must be part of the program that she tells the people who buy the most stuff first! It kinda looked a bit like the new nude palette but with some darker brown mattes and I seen a multi chrome on it too! I think that now in the last year or so she has come out with some thing for everyone except missing the warm tones and now she has done it! I really hope that some people will finally stop complaining because she’s got every all the bases covered! Maybe if you sign in to your account on her website you can take a look yourself and see it ! I’m not so much into warm tones but it’s more neutral leaning on the warm and rich side! Now i think if i was a makeup artist, if i had everyone of her eyeshadow palettes now I’d probably be set to do any look that my brain could come up with lol!! Now that I think she’s about done it all, I’d love to see her do something with like an empty palette where you can easily take out your favourite eyeshadow then create your own palettes! Or something like a sorting system for the different colour’s since she has so many different formulas as well. But I really do think that by realesaing the warm toned palette it’s time for people to stop complaining about there not something for ever Because what more can this woman do to make every eyeshadow colour there is! I am proud of her too! I think I’m just going to bite the bullet and finally finish buying the rest of pallets and have the whole library lol! I can’t wait to see you playing with it ! Keep up the amazing work you do to guide us through makeup land!! Take care, XOMB

    Tokyo has close to the same population as Canada, which is the 2nd largest country in the world. I
    I could not tolerate that population density.

    Carry electrolyte packets. It can be added to any liquid in a pinch. I spent a lot of time in the sun (heat) of Florida (native). Saw friends, leaving in an ambulance. I would throw up from too much heat. But I learned how to cope because it was my job. I was a paint specialist, staining and painting, design, etc. in Palm Beach for many years. I know you understand the heat in So Florida lol. You have to stay with the job in Palm Beach, expectations are high. No getting sick. Salt tabs help also. But eltrolytes are a must. A little snack like peanut butter crackers help too. Just a -small- snack, then stay still and totally relax for like 10-15 minutes. You will be ready to rock again🎉So happy you loved your vacation 🎉a trip of a lifetime. ❤

    would not recommend japan to anyone between jul - sept, but if you have to try to avoid tokyo. There's nature-y areas away from the city that felt a bit better to me in summer (though your comments about AC are very true). But anyway if you're in the cities, make use of convenience stores and vending machines which should be plentiful, and feel free to drink liquids in public. I usually have a larger bag when traveling around Japan so I can hold onto bottles -- the reason why there aren't trash cans has to do with gas attacks way back in the day, so people generally hold onto trash. Japanese also tend to have cooing packs on their bodies, among other things to deal with the heat, but I still think it's wild. My cousin ended up moving way north because he hated the heat, so it's not just you!
    edit: also! I've never had Singapore's Din Tai Fung, but I heard it's better than California''s. It's busy here too but to be honest I've had a lot of dumplings around California that I think are just as good.

    If you really want to have the authentic Ding Tai Feng experience, come to Taiwan where it’s originated 🥟 but perhaps not in summer 😎
