Remember when I liked this video because of how incredibly you played this piece
I believe you did
From Wikipedia: "In the piece "Can You Hear the Music", he employed 21 tempo changes-a large feat for a live orchestra. Originally, Göransson called it "unplayable" and planned to record the song bar-by-bar, but his wife encouraged him to record the song in one take. After much experimentation, the music team achieved this by playing a click into the musicians' headphones before every tempo change. This piece alone took three days to record."
For this alone, this soundtrack deserves an Oscar
Lmfao orchestras deal with tempo changes constantly
@@TJ_ax 21 tempo changes within 2 minutes is a lot, and much more difficult to play perfectly than something like meter or key changes. Plus some of the changes are quite subtle. With the quicker notes they're playing, it'd be easy to get out of sync and have it turn into a muddy mess.
@@TJ_ax yes, like 3 tempo changes through an entire 6 minute piece. This song has 21 tempo changes in less than 2 minutes
Even the time sign went from 4/4 to 6/8 that's just awesome!
Wow! So gorgeous! Hard to imagine how one gets this under their fingers! How you take an orchestral work and bring it to classical guitar continues to boggle my mind!!!
Love you Mom!
this is so wholesome man@@BeyondTheGuitar 😁
most wholesome comment
Peak wholesomeness

The music in Oppenheimer was absolutely amazing and I’m so glad you liked it enough to play it!
even guitar itself didn't know it could be played like this
0:56 chills with that pull off
The Bard can shred ! Awesome stuff Nathan.
Haha thanks Dave!
Brother tutorial please
The last part where you strum instead of pucking to mimick the violin chorus because picking cant ge that loud and fast was genius.
I vould really hear the music
This video single handedly made me want to learn guitar
same

Modi sarkaar 😎
Beautiful arrangement. The strumming has a 'bite' to it that is very satisfying to the ear.
man I downloaded the tabs a month ago, I'm blown away of how fast you play it while at the same time keep all the notes clean, specially at 0:26, my respects
This piece is truly the embodiment of "Theory can only take you so far" It's music to be felt, experienced, truly taken in. Not just to be read in a sheet. Amazing cover.
This song is slowly taking over my life and I LOVE all the different versions of it people are doing cover-wise! This was the first one I heard on guitar. Very cool!
i guess most people would not understand how hard it is to play a such peace fluently without losing the tempo and keeping the sound as clear as possible. Great job man!
Wow, sounds amazing! And I love those blazing fast technical runs in the beginning. It's so groovy as well.
Thanks Stephanie!
He has become music, the guy that played this peace amazingly
You are by far the biggest inspiration to pick up a classical guitar what you do is amazing
I think someone has finally created a song that can never be rivalled by a cover. It is just too perfect, too beautiful.
I saw a violin version this morning and had the thought that I’d love to see a classical guitar interpretation, then you popped up in my feed! Amazing work!! It’s such a beautiful & moving piece.
A fun speed building exercise that sounds good
You're exactly right. It really is a great exercise for that
And we thank you for it
Some people don't have enought skill to play things like this. That guy doesn't have enought strings.
What a phenomenal cover. Bravo!
so beautiful! those arpeggios are incredible; I hope I can play like this someday. I've been getting a lot better at playing this summer. Guitar is so fun!
No way bro actually nailed that. Holy what a talent 🔥
I’m watching Oppenheimer later today, this really set the tone
goodness sake! i got chills all over my body. you know its so good when the back of your head got that chills too. fantastic, man!
One of the most satisfying pieces I have ever heard. When I tried imitating you I was just flabbergasted at how hard it is. Kudos to you!
Words are not enough to describe how mesmerized i am by this
the way my heart beats when i listen to this, what an amazing work !
Incredible Nathan! What a movie, still thinking about it.
Thanks Justin! I still need to see it
00:42 "He's beginning to believe"
Awesome! A truly sublime rendition. I was late seeing the movie and I have to say, Oppenheimer was the best cinema experience I've had this year 100%, glad I decided to catch it on the big screen. A truly captivating experience and it was was in no small part thanks to the music. thanks for this!
Wouaw 😮 it s one of my favorite song and you play it ssssoooooo well (congratulation from France) ❤
This is addictive.
Could you do a longer / extended version, please?
omg. You obviously have a very good ear for music. best Oppenheimer instrument performance I've ever seen
It feels like Santaolalla's style! I love it!🇦🇷
Oh man, you brought this beautiful masterpiece to the acoustic guitar, this is incredible!!!
wow I would never think this could be played in Guitar. Amazing!
Wow! The strum hits different
Beautiful... as a fellow guitarist, this was inspirational. Thank you!
Makes me think of Oppy sitting at a cafe in Madrid, enjoying some sherry and jamon iberico! Still really cool, especially the strumming parts.
Wow, you did that song justice. Amazing job
Wedding ring is back on. Nice!
I just got too damn fat. Thankfully the wife didn't leave me because of that 😅 The ring just didn't fit anymore
@@BeyondTheGuitar Was seriously sad for a bit thinking you were going through a tough time. Amazing news! Cheers man
@BeyondTheGuitar this is great to hear I was wondering that as well but I wasn't going to ask... I am so happy to find out it just got too small
The dispointing thing about this song is its not long enough. Once you get to the end your left wanting more. I wish people would do some improvising after. Beautiful none the less.
this sounds really awesome. Could fit a western exceptionally well
Nah this deserves more views😭
This is one of the most beautiful things I’ve heard in a long time. Do you have any all time favorite videos you’ve posted that stand out more than others as ridiculously beautiful?
We need this on Spotify!!!
🔥🔥
This interpretation makes me hold my breath. That’s how i know that was a good one
That transition is the most beautiful thing I've ever heard
I was waiting for a cover of this song, and I was confident that people would choose to cover 'Quantum Mechanics' in lieu of this magnificent composition. I thank you for this!
Señor Oppenheirer!! 🔥
Damn I can tell you’ve been getting in shape keep it up brotha💪
Wow very amazing for someone to play that complex theme with their fingers, this deserves a like AND subscribe
Stellar performance as usual w/ music that touches the heart!
Since the day you uploaded it on UA-cam, I've made it my cellphone ringtone.
THAT'S ARRANGEMENT WAS 🔥🔥🔥
this man deserving a Oscar from UA-cam. hats off
During the movie the music was in the background. Now it’s opposite, both works 💯
The worst part of this video is it ending. Beautiful arrangement
I really wish i could hear this in the background score... Atleast in the credits.... Can't praise you more for inspiring me towards the music 💫🎸.... Absolutely loved it... Wish u the best
Juego esto todo el día en el trabajo, a veces en segundo plano. ¡MUY calmante! Simplemente perfecto para mantener la calma en un lugar de trabajo agitado
This cover reminds me of a cowboy riding out of a small town
My god you're so clean
I didn't think this could sound THIS good on a guitar. Phenomenal.
Goosebumps 🔥🔥🔥
Beyond the guitar ❤
8 months ago? Missed the boat on this one but man, I love it!! Very cool

Ooh is that something we can expect in the near future from you? 👀
i love this channel so much
Shivers through my body....damnnnn😳😳
Really great! Nathan is the master of fast shifting :)
Haha thanks Marcin
It's incredible the ability you have to play the guitar, plus that song is the best song that could be heard on soundtrack in 2023, it's epic
“The important thing isn’t can you read music, it’s can you hear it. Can you hear the music? Robert?”
Instructions unclear, accidentally detonated an atomic bomb.
Got to love that the music is a perfect representation of the film: smart, unusual, challenging, precise, original, and throws you for a loop. It gives me hope for humanity, art can still be challenging, the audience should catch up to the filmmaker, not vice versa.
i CAN hear the music, and i love it
Too good ❤
When he plays that 7 near the end I melt
Gooooosebumps! Incredible cover!
That sounds amazing on guitar! So cool!
Thanks Jared!
This is just genius, wow
Bro is the guitar❤❤
Very skillful! Beautiful piece here, powerful the way you play it!!
Change from violin to guitar, it’s like being the cowboy of a western movie!
On loop currently maybe for two hours
FANTASTIC cover
