A prospect that seems to get over looked a little is D-petey. In 2 seasons the team could end up having 2 quality ELCs on defense. Personally I think Lekkerimaki should get this full upcoming season in Abbotsford to get used to the North American style game as well as what Malholtra & Tocchet want in terms of style of play. I'd like to believe he turns out to be similar to Nikolai Ehlers but without the health issues
He is just another soft Swede. He will be lucky to score 10 goals. A true star jumps directly into the NHL. They don't go to the minors or hide in Swedish Tea League for 5 years.
FFS, give the Canadian superiority ignorance a break. Lek was 19 two weeks ago. He was not a top pick. He was 15th. Nobody expects him to be a top - three pick because he's not. The best for the player and franchise is to facilitate growth until he's mature and capable of succeeding at the NHL level.

I expect big things from Höglander this year, hopefully playing with EP40 and DeBrusk. I could see Lekkerimaki filling in for a top 9 winger injury.

Love ❤️ the insane Canucks Positivity
Lekkerisucki did himself no favors by wasting time in Sweden. He will be another weak link, just like Powder Puff Pettersson.

I have always wondered this, whether it is better statistically to grow a player in the minors, or to throw him straight into the NHL frying pan?
Another Chicken Swede.

Career AHLer!
He was ranked 7th by many scouts. He fell in almost all rankings. He's another weak, non playoff caliber player.
