Thank you so much for your advice you guys, my husband and I have sent my adjusted status 3 weeks ago. We were watching your videos and everything was clear and now we have an idea of all this stressful process. I’m from Guatemala and my husband from USA :)
Hello Wan, thank you for watching. The additional documentation we had to provide was the I-864 which is the Affidavit of Support. We had completed that document prior to filing but our Attorney accidentally left it out of the initial filing.
@@GioandJC thank you! how bout the i693? the report for medical exam. did you submit it with your initial application or wait for the rfe? thank you both! and congratulations! love wins ❤

Hey guys, I forgot post an upgrade about my Adjustment of Status, USCIS received my documents on April 1, and then I got my biometric appointment on May 9, and I got my employment authorization and SSN on May 20, I haven’t heard anything from USCIS since May. Maybe just waiting my interview appointment to go with my husband. Hopefully this is coming soon. 🙌🏼

Hello from St Pete fl. Thank you so much for detailing your step by step, so far so fun, we are 5 months into the GS process, everything aligns to a tee thus far. btw we honeymooned in Tybee beach loved the pier😎
Hello Charlie and thank you for watching and commenting. Tybee is a lovely island and very relaxed so no doubt it was a nice honeymoon spot! All the best in your process.
Watching you guys sharing your experience warms my heart and tears up my eyes 🤍 beautiful story of a gay couple! It makes me hopeful for my interview coming up in a few days! My hubby and I are excited but nervous!!!! Thank you for sharing 🎉✨🎉
Hello Harold and thank you for watching and commenting. We remember the excitement and nervousness leading up to our interview. Just be your authentic self and all will go well. All the best to you and your spouse.
Thank u 4 the info. That sounds very much doable. Not that complicated so long as you follow all the steps. But surely you need to be patient, right? Btw, pls keep us updated with your life.
Exactly! We are truly blessed to have found each other and thankful for the opportunity to be legally married and go through the immigration process. Thank you for watching and commenting.
Congratulations! 👍😎 In our case, I and my husband are nearing the final stage of our similar experience, although not in the US, but in the UK - our equivalent (more or less) of your ‘green card’ regime is called ‘right to remain’, which takes a minimum of 5 years to achieve. Basically, based on our marriage in early 2016 here in the UK (prior to which he had already resided here for around 6 years on non marriage related visas) he applied for a spousal visa, for which I acted as sponsor, and that when granted was valid for 30 months (2 1/2 years) and renewed in 2018 for a further 30 months until earlier this year - when he/we had to apply for full ‘right to remain’, all paperwork submitted a few months ago, but it can apparently take up to 6 months for a decision (hopefully approval 🙏) - we don’t really anticipate any difficulty, but of course until he/we receive approval, there is some anxiety. Obviously, as in your case, the special procedures in place because of Covid-19 have meant the most recent application has had to take place mostly remotely without any personal interview, except for a brief meeting when the latest set of paperwork was submitted and given a preliminary check as to its completeness. The whole process has so far cost many thousands of Pounds for the various visas & renewals including the most recent ‘right to remain’ application. Whilst the authorities of course do need to satisfy themselves that our marriage is a valid, legitimate one and not merely ‘a marriage of convenience’, similar checks would obviously apply to same sex and heterosexual marriages and I don’t think they are treated any differently since same sex marriages became possible in the UK a few years before our own 2016 marriage. By the way the nationalities involved in our case are British (me) & Chinese (my husband).
Bill, thank you for sharing your experience with us. While similar, it appears things in the UK take longer than here in the USA. Regardless, we have learned it takes a lot of patience for sure and being well organized and detailed. We appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment. We wish you and your husband the best in your final steps towards his "Right To Remain." Happiness Is A Lifestyle!
@@GioandJC Slower perhaps, but mostly sure 👍😉 PS/ We have done it all on our own, without professional legal help. Similarly, I have filed my own tax paperwork entirely on my own for many years without the help of a professional tax adviser, for employees (which I am not) it is mostly even more straightforward. No doubt some people do get professional help for convenience, but for any reasonably intelligent/educated person our regulations are not so complex that they can’t be navigated fairly readily, which I understand is not so common in the US.
Hi, Me and my wife love your videos, we actually are going through the immigration process right now, it would be nice if in the future we can make a video all four of us!
Hey guys! Congrats! Watched the whole thing. My husband and I have also been together for 5 years. I just moved back to the US and petitioned for him. We got married in Miami 3 months ago. Our age difference is 16 years. Did you have any concerns about your age difference? How far apart are you?
Thank you for watching and we are happy to hear our video was of value to you. We have a 14 year age gap and we had no concerns about it because our relationship is true. We just shared enough supporting evidence of our relationship through tons of photos and affidavits from friends and family. Is your husband in the USA with you or you are petitioning to bring him to the USA?
We honestly do not know what the ramifications would be if the SCOTUS moved to remove federally protected same sex marriage. It is certainly a concern.
Hi Sonny. Our best advice is to look for an immigration attorney in your local area and then Google them for reviews. We cannot make a specific recommendation.
Our attorney is based on South Florida. Their website is rayandkolnerlaw.com. If you do not live in South Florida, we recommend you find a local attorney in your area.
These days i keep on watching videos and checking more information about get visa to usa and want to get marry my boy friend in usa. Im from sri lanka. Im 33yrs old and my boy friend 63yrs old....
I have a big question. My boyfriend (57) and I (25) want to get married the next year. He is American and I am from Latin America. Is it any issue for me to get a green card about the age gap ? I mean, is there any problem at the time to prove if the marriage is real ( for love ) ?
Hello and thank you for watching. As we indicated in our video, we are not legal experts and therefore can only offer advice based on our personal experience. From our experience, as long as you present your relationship in a truthful manner you will be fine. The best advice we can give you is to have all the documentation proof needed to validate your relationship when filing your documents. As long as you both enter into the marriage based on love and honesty, there should be no reason the age gap would hinder anything.
