i've never before seen a reina player use so many of her tools effectively. pressure into parry into throw into strings... and watching most of them go unpunished is such a treat. yagami is such an amazing player, truly well deserved with how well he plays reina.
@@NoobyNick0710 its not necessary for her to use all these moves to be good thats the nice thing about her u can play as a mishima or as a regular wifu and even better u can play her as both which makes her really strong
@@havok705that’s why some consider her easy. Flowcharting with key moves takes you far, but optimizing that very large very useful movelist is challenging.
@@thadream_13_10 but thats the good thing u dont need to optimize the whole move list as realistically with almost all characters u will not be using all of their move list. And since she has 2 arch types she is the best of both worlds and u can choose which u want
In my opinion, Reina is like Devil May Cry's Dante in a way. Both have a huge arsenal/movelist for those who likes complex characters, but still have simple enough tools to just pick up and play the character. Granted Reina is still more hardcore, but you get the point.
@@Darkknightrexx I recently switched from keyboard to Korean stick, having tried out pad in between and the grass isn't greener on the other side if we're talking execution. yes. The parry puts you at +10 anf you can cancel going into wind god step by pressing up (i believe? i might be wrong on the specific input) that way you get a guaranteed 112
@@Doublejho No Reina has ever gone for that parry intentionally lmao, Its basically useful for covering your electric and ff2 attempts if you were caught during the forward input motion.
I think only to an extent, and mostly in Round 4 and 5. That's how Ulsan was able to take one round off of Yagami, but after that point, Yagami started respecting Ulsan's pokes more and was still able to punish properly. Looking at moments where Yagami constantly reacted against Ulsan with parries, side steps, and ducks, I think it's evident that his defense is at the very least good enough to fill in the gaps between his aggressive moments.
dragunov has no answer for aggression, he has no defensive tools and with all the nerfs, he has become a mid-tear. He need some hopkick, kempo or safe power crush to have some defense.

Today I learned the best western Reina is an asian guy from Australia.
Shocking
Hes also a massive downplayer. He thinks Reina is bottom 3

Ever since rest left to Korea, bobby has been terrorising me in ranked bro

I used to to live in Melbourne..really most Aussie players are just mid..you’ll run with killers occasionally
Bobby from Australia is really good too, there’s also subject and mccheese and unusual asila, , kal, supa solja

But the bear dominated in the end...
Yagami had home court advantage bro looks Pilipino af( I'm Pilipino )
Played out of his mind only to get completely bodied in the grand finals by a bear. Quite a shame.

Reina is such a bore to play against but I guess this is cool.

anyone else thought his reina is just mashing? she moves non-stop on offense it's crazy

reina is SUPPOSED to be aggressive like this, she has nothing else going for her
If you know some basics like frame data you know his Reina is not mashing
What does mashing even mean you you’re accusing top level players at the absolute highest level of just pressing random buttons
dragunov has no answer for aggression, he has no defensive tools and with all the nerfs, he has become a mid-tear. He need some hopkick, kempo or safe power crush to have some defense.
