There should be a policy in India that telecom companies should give a minimum 4G data speed of 10MBPS.
0.7 mbps speed in 4g. Really disappointing.
You easily get 10mbps in 4g atleast here in Delhi

In my city and all the other Indian cities that I have visited, I get an average speed of 95 Mbps in Airtel 4G Vo LTE1. Sometimes above 100 Mbps. This is standard in both of my 4G Vo LTE1 Enabled mobile devices with Airtel Postpaid SIM cards.
Even in enclosed basements with mutiple walls/barriers, I get an average speed of 40 Mbps to sometimes 90 Mbps in cities.
In many of the remotest villages of West Bengal, Sikim, Assam, Meghalaya, Orrisa, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Himachal, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala & Tamilnadu, that I have travelled to, there also I have got an average speed of 40 Mbps to 60 Mbps in Airtel 4G Vo LTE1, depending on the time of day, in all my Mobile devices with Airtel Postpaid SIM cards.
So, either you have a crappy phone or you are living under a rock or you are simply lying.
The Indian Government has been extremely wary of satellite phones and now it is concerned with satellite-based internet. The reason is not all that obvious. India already uses satellites for communication and a bunch of other activities. The difference here is privatized satcom. Satcom, when it is not under your control, is not easy to track or monitor, I'd say almost impossible without the right infrastructure. If India really wants to be secure from external threats it ought to allow satcom in India. This also means building the right infrastructure which in turn will satcom internet reach the most remote parts of India without having to worry about cabling and maintenance of it.

Starlink should be commercially available asap because I'm waiting for it eagerly. Being on ships, I don't get enough internet in the middle of the ocean and it gets really difficult to survive on board

@@srrs007 4g is global launch. jio is nothing special, some other telecom might have bring 4g if jio didn't launched first. it's all about competition. nothing is monopoly

Starlink should be allowed to operate in India given that the concerns raised are addressed aptly.
I am very excited to experience satellite internet as its totally different technology also in India many ISP's are not providing proper speeds on the name of fiber. Here Jio promises to give 150Mbps but gives as low as 40-50Mbps on Fiber which is not acceptable if we are giving almost close to Rs1000.
Not almost close to 1000 its 1178.82 per month for jio fiber 150mbps plan.... I get around 110-115mbps which i think is a bit compromise

Two points, I might be wrong (although technology is different I know)
1) IF I compare it with our Dish connections we have it goes off for sometime when it rains.
2) Satellite phones - I don't know how much effective they are, our army, navy uses it but they are expensive.

Yes we are using satellite wifi 'sailor' onboard but it cost 20USD for 50 mb , when I crossing Indian Ocean to south Atlantic
What if Starlink send only 1000 satelites and make a network so that they have some stations powered by satelites internet and can further spread with the help of transmitters!

i guess what you are thinking is that once we get star link in india we can travel and get the internet anywhere on the go.
But in reality its just like normal internet instead of broadband cable we would get an star link dish antenna that would be placed at home-terrace and the cable from it would go to the wifi router.
And the dish would point upwards towards the satellite for reception.
Do u have any idea phone beam their data directly to nd from satellites.
This technology is already there.

Starlink should come in India. If it can works in USA then it can be works in India. But unfortunately telecom companies like Jio, Airtel, Idea and BSNL they will not let starlink to come in India. If it start working in India then who will use these companies internet service and other wifi providers. On the other hand there are also some pros and cones related to the national security. Hope so we'll use this product in next coming years.

Sorry to say! We know that it could benifit us but we cannot take the dish while we walk up in the mountains or in jungle as you said all the time.
So basically, its just like a wifi router connected on your home through which he internet comes from so we have to then also carry router as well everywhere we go.
The main thing is that it is destroying our orbit and astronomy. If you see there are a massive number of satellites that has to be placed in orbit to get operational. So think of seeing satellites instead of stars in night and some of them fall above ur head. Thats the biggest concern.
Also the Aerospace should be more concerned about it cause remember there are already huge number of satellites orbiting and more are added to it. They will be like... "Starlink didn't left us any space to reach outside earth."
The important part is he wants to dominate the market and create a monopoly so no one can compete.
The last thing is why to have internet when going offgrid or hiking. We go there to chill boss and get out of everyday life. So its better not to use it and have personal space. No offense actually you shouldn't support things that are against natural destruction @technicalguruji

Acha abb ap ye batao ki jaab satellite kharab ho jayegi taab app space garbage ka kya karoge. Satellite ek problem hai kyoki abhi koi esi technology nahi hai jisse space garbage ko scrap kiya ja sake. Space garbage ki vajah se bohot sare spot satellite launch karne ke liye band ho jate hai.

For people like me in village areas of india we get internet connectivity but speed is very slow and sometimes doesn't even work which makes attending online classes or doing any other activities on the internet very hard so yes i would very much like to have starlink connection
