OKC Zoo Welcomes Dr. Laurie Marker of Cheetah Conservation Fund

The OKC Zoo is a proud supporter of the Cheetah Conservation Fund whose mission is to help save and protect cheetahs! The cheetah is one of the most endangered big cats in the world. The biggest threats for cheetahs include habitat loss, human-animal conflict and the illegal pet trade. CCF has facilities in both Namibia and Somaliland that help care for orphaned cheetahs. Namibia's facility focuses on cheetahs impacted by human-animal conflict where Somaliland focuses on cheetahs impacted by the illegal pet trade.
