Wow, lucky you weren't on the bridge when it broke! Granite Island is a lovely spot, we enjoyed wandering around. I don't remember seeing carpet on the bench, lol.

hopefully someone removed it, it was odd it was part of the seat, first time I would've taken a hundred photos every turn something different.
