Edit: So I've just got done watching it, and man... Absolutely wrecked me as expected, had to stop a couple times because I was genuinely weeping, but I can't recommend watching it enough to everyone.
Wish more stunt doubles be taken out of the shadows and praised as real artists should. They are a big part of the movie and actually risking their health to make it exciting for us to watch. This is a great example despite obviously it being a very sad story.
I remember hearing about the accident during the films production in the news. I can't imagine that anyone who watches this won't have dry eyes for it's entirety.
I'm really hoping this gets properly reception. Stuntmen deserve more credit and exposure, and thier own Oscar's. ❤️ this is awesomee, and such a powerful story

Definitely recommend to watch it! It’s incredible that his dream washed away but he remains so positive. Inspirational to watch! Ánd, to be fair, you never focus that much on stunt work while watching a movie but seeing it here you actually come to realize: yeah man, they did some crazy stuff during Harry Potter!
His whole career and life was based on dynamic movement. Now he can’t even walk. Lord have mercy. What a man. I must be thankful for every step I’m able to make.
My father a few years ago found out that he has a tumor on his neck and he went completely paralyzed, I was just getting into the Harry Potter series at that time, it was a great escape from reality. This story just makes me feel even more connected to the series, I’m so glad he told his story. May have made me cry a bit after I watched it 😅
Just watched it...and it's a pretty heartwarming doc. Not something I'd expected to say given the subject matter, but kudos to everyone behind this project! And massive props to David for his relentless positivity!
I think this is awesome, I feel like this documentary wasn't for people to feel bad for him, or for the attention, but to bring attention to everyone to have a better understanding of what happened, ( I can only imagine what his mind frame after the accident was.) and bring attention to everyone to keep going and not let anyone, anything make you feel less then because of whatever your situation is. Also how Radcliffe didn't veer away like ALOT do when something happens to someone. ( Especially Physically! ) He apparently didn't change up or make David feel like he wasn't apart of or even a burden on whatever was happening. Fyi- This is just my opinion
This just makes me think of how much technology has changed and how the film industry is ever evolving. What used to be done with practical effects and stuntmen 20 years ago can now be done using a volume stage.
Its sad his life changed in a negative way while he was helping to build something that is so incredible, magical, beautiful 😢 but above it all he seems to be an amazing man, I hope he could have happy and magical moments in his life, as we did watching the movies 🥹💖
Something said in this and an underlying message stood out to me. 1 was when Dan was talking about the awkward period after the accident and 2 how it seems overall they as a group gave everyone the time they needed whether that was 2 weeks or 10 yrs (the stunt director) Yes something like this is absolutely horrible for the person injured but there is an unspoken fear in the friends and family how they deal with it. Can you make it past the awkward stage, do you need extra time, or sadly if this is the point you have to bow out because something about the situation your just not capable of getting over it. a drastic change like this has a ripple effect and most only care how the injured party takes it but never look at the rest of the people also bobbing around in the waves caused by the accident.
I hope people watch this. I hope this does well and makes him a ton of money. Studios have certaily made a lot of money off his work. It can't be cheap to recover from something like that.
The point of this isn't to feel sad for him. It's to see how much Dan and David appreciate how he's moved past that to figure out who he really wants to be in the face of something we'd all consider insurmountable. Don't pity him, guys. Celebrate him.

Edit: So I've just got done watching it, and man... Absolutely wrecked me as expected, had to stop a couple times because I was genuinely weeping, but I can't recommend watching it enough to everyone.
The spirit of David is inspirational! You gave me motivation to stay positive no matter what❤
Wish more stunt doubles be taken out of the shadows and praised as real artists should. They are a big part of the movie and actually risking their health to make it exciting for us to watch. This is a great example despite obviously it being a very sad story.
"Just like your mother, you're unfailingly kind. A trait people never fail to undervalue." - Albus Dumbledore
The guy is a miracle! Daniel is amazing and a great friend!
Really looking forward to this! Stunt doubles definitely need more praise for their work and risks they take.
I remember hearing about the accident during the films production in the news. I can't imagine that anyone who watches this won't have dry eyes for it's entirety.
I literally cried when I saw those kids that he influenced. Such a beautiful thing
I'm really hoping this gets properly reception. Stuntmen deserve more credit and exposure, and thier own Oscar's. ❤️ this is awesomee, and such a powerful story
I almost teared up, I love this. God is amazing, hopefully he found him ❤
It's awesome they are making a movie about David. He's very inspiring. I'm def gonna give it a watch.
I just watched it, David is an absolutely extraordinary great human being, he has a great outlook on life he's very inspirational it was a fantastic documentary and I'm happy to have watched it. David you are in my prayers as always 🙏🏼 you are a beautiful human being ❤
Definitely recommend to watch it! It’s incredible that his dream washed away but he remains so positive. Inspirational to watch! Ánd, to be fair, you never focus that much on stunt work while watching a movie but seeing it here you actually come to realize: yeah man, they did some crazy stuff during Harry Potter!
It is so cool that they are doing this!
Daniel mostrando ser uma pessoa maravilhosa 👏👏❤️, estou ansiosa para o documentário
The title, *chef's kiss*
"I was able to find the light in the darkest of places"
Love that he quoted Dumbledore there
His whole career and life was based on dynamic movement.
May have made me cry a bit after I watched it 😅
This trailer made me cry
Just watched it...and it's a pretty heartwarming doc. Not something I'd expected to say given the subject matter, but kudos to everyone behind this project! And massive props to David for his relentless positivity!
I just saw this documentary today and I am deeply sad for Dave.
God Bless you Dave
David is incredible. Thank you for sharing your story with us!
His personality……. Is so amazing and inspiring
I am not crying.. I was just cutting some onions ehem..
Amazing! People need to know that when life drastically and suddenly changes, the love and hope are still there, they're just in different places. ❤
Stunts, and Stunt Performers deserve categories in the Oscars, and the recognition and billing of a face star
This just makes me think of how much technology has changed and how the film industry is ever evolving. What used to be done with practical effects and stuntmen 20 years ago can now be done using a volume stage.
What a strong human being
The title of this film alone makes me emotional.
I cant wait to learn his story!
"Able to find light in the darkest of places." Rewording Dumbledore's quote. 😭
great, im already crying
Its sad his life changed in a negative way while he was helping to build something that is so incredible, magical, beautiful 😢 but above it all he seems to be an amazing man, I hope he could have happy and magical moments in his life, as we did watching the movies 🥹💖
Stuntmen/women don't get nearly as much recognition as they should for the dangers they put themselves in.
Wow - it's rare a trailer brings me to tears but this just did. Can't wait to watch this empowering story.
Can we get a 'best action design' oscar category for stuntmen/women and coordinators?
I hope people watch this. I hope this does well and makes him a ton of money. Studios have certaily made a lot of money off his work. It can't be cheap to recover from something like that.
I teared up just watching this trailer. Definitely going to watch this as soon as it's out
I still don’t understand why stunt folks aren’t awarded in major film and tv awards.
tis man a fn ROCKSTAR FOR
LIFE TY SIR
I cant wait for this. ❤️
Even this teaser is truly magnificent, I am filled with admiration and compassion. Thank you for sharing this transformative experience. Much love.
This looks wonderful. I’m very excited for this one.
This is why stunt people deserve more credit for their work.
This is actually amazing.
Incredible to be a stuntman at 15!
