Holy Fuck! I've been looking for this (sorta) for over 20 years now...that's right, it WAS Night Flight, on a show called Snub TV, which basically showcased punk-ish stuff (think MTV's 120 Minutes, but with cooler vids). I even HAD THIS ON VHS TAPE until I lent it to someone I used to know in Dallas, who probably still has it. That was a great episode, had this vid, Jane's Addiction, Front 242, it was awesome!
Glad you like it (& found it) - Nice that you remember SNUB too! We did that show on almost no money - BTW, 120 minutes was MTV's `answer' to SNUB - We had been getting better ratings with stuff they were scared to play (+ like this one, we often made our own videos to music we loved - eg Beatnigs `TV') - so they came up with their own version - We only did one season, but it's influence goes on...
wow, that's great, I love this video, oh wow I used to watch Night Flight in the early 80s, too bad they didn't have that show on German tv in the late 80s, or I would've seen this vid good job
BTW - Steinski - RE: `Fascist Groove Thing' (Haven't thought about that one for years!) I have it somewhere in my archives on 3/4" tape - But the Pep lounge era stuff is really deep down! I am surprised that Danny Cornyetz or someone hasn't posted it already... I'll see if I can find it...
Yes - I love Sav-Rep & wanted them on the show (snub) so I did deal that the show would cover minimal expenses in return for the `exclusive premiere' after which the band were free to use it... did same for many others... You should check out my current work too..
