Wheelove Fire Alarms Just you! It’s the wind because it was super cold (in the negatives) with windchill, so just the winter weather. My hands were completely numb even though I had gloves on to the point that I thought I might have gotten frostbite because they hurt super bad when I got somewhere warm again. Luckily they were okay, but it probably wasn’t a smart thing to do, so I’m going to wait until Spring when it gets warm out to start recording sirens again; plus a lot of places turn them off and don’t test them during the winter because it’s hard on the metal and the motors; plus there’s no reason to test them then as there’s no tornado risk during the winter lol.
Montecat 33 Thanks! I think the video turned out pretty good! Although it was like 2 degrees with windchill so my hands were numb even with heavy gloves on lol.
firefreak57 Yea I hate recording in the cold. It was like that in Harvard recently. In fact it was so cold the sirens couldn’t activate even thought they tried!
Montecat 33 Wow! That stinks. Probably why most places around here (my city included) shut off their sirens during this time of year. I was surprised Fairlawn tests year-round as I had not known that until SRP got the Trunko Rd. 2001-DC last week. It’s gotta be hard on their sirens though, especially the mechanical components and motors doing a cold start in that weather.
Nice, now we need to nab the Rothrock 2001-SRN. That probably won't be until spring break.
Sirens of NE Ohio Yep!
Nice! Is it just me, or does the siren make the tripod shake?...

Since I had to get a new Discord account, here's the new Fire Alarm Enthusiast Discord: discord.gg/tnsk4xd
