    Isn't it a bit strange to put in first position the name of Hélène Grimaud, and to write the name of the solist in brackets, as if it were less important ? It's a pity that the star system is everywhere, even in the world of classical music.

      Yes but its also strange her name is in front of schumann's. The real maestro is the person who wrote the piece, he should be in front.

      This is a collaborative piece. Both are important.

      Meh. Thinking that the order really even matters is a personal thing and is only given power if you believe it is. :)
      I see your argument and just don’t think it matters. Just enjoy this for its artistry.

    Let's not forget -- Helene Grimaud is not accompanying the clarinetist. This is a duet between piano and clarinet! So they're both important

    Aren’t these the Romances for oboe and piano transcribed for clarinet? Super exciting playing. Schumann deserves to be approached in this way more often.

    Le choix de cadrage de la photo est décevant. Les initiatives cherchant l'originalité ne sont pas toutes réussies

    Vraiment sublime - sauf pour le 3eme mouvement! Beaucoup trop agité, ce devrait être plus méditatif.

    •  11 місяців тому +1

      Question de goût bien sûr, mais c'est le tempo nominal habituellement pratiqué pour cette 3eme romance

    • @jakeplonk888
      @jakeplonk888 11 місяців тому

      @ “tempo nominal” Le tempo indiqué est Nich Schnell, etla partition est entrecoupée de riterdando (pas ritenuto).Leur interprétation est beaucoup trop vive pour une musique nocturne telle que cette 3ème romance (quant à la validité des indications métronomiques, nombreux sont les experts qui y placent un large bémol…)

    It is not fair that she can read the music, and he has had to memorise it. Nevertheless, the end result is beautiful.

    • @tecsonics
      @tecsonics 2 роки тому +1

      Let's remember she is reading possibly 8 to 10 notes simultaneously. He only reads one. What does that say about complexity.

      What does it matter, if a musician wants to have the music on the stand or not? The great Sviatoslav Richter did that sometimes.

      When you are pianist and playing with another instrumentist for this kind of music, you need to follow your duo's part and yours at the same time, to make sure that you still playing together, the right part, and to understand what your duo is doing to adapt yourself.
      Sorry for my bad english.
