The reason why the engine gave you a miss in chorus was because it gives you a miss + breaks your combo when you ghost tap next to a note you need to hit, hard to explain but basically ➡️ ⬅️⬇️⬆️➡️ And then if you hit the left, down or up key you will receive a miss. I think it's a way to prevent spam and all that
