I read an interview with the lead singer recently. Apparently, he thinks this song is the greatest piece that he's ever written. He believes that he'll never be able to write anything as beautiful as this again, and apparently that thought causes recurring bouts of depression and melancholy.

Everything, from the chords, the melody, the lyrics, and the MV evoke feelings in me that no other form of art could ever produce.
