- Since I became aware of Yebba when her vocals appeared in Jacob Collier's rendition of "Bridge over troubled water", I have researched her some more, and am absolutely in love with her voice and artistry.
Then, up popped a video of her and Clark Beckham doing this duet of the stunning "Gravity" by John Mayer. And, OH MY GOSH! What artistry, vocal skill, heart, synergy, arrangement... everything about it was just fantastic!
That's why I invited my good friend, Moses, to join me for another blind reaction. Well, blind to him, as he has never heard this before. Maybe you haven't either - so check it out and let us know how it made YOU feel!

An Allure Cinematics production
I am Clark's mother and I can confirm for you that this was a live performance. You might also find it interesting that this was filmed on the sanctuary stage at Cornerstone Church in Nashville. The gospel influence is authentic. 😊
@TerriBeckham - Wow, thank you so much for the info! Now I am wildly impressed with these two musicians - incredible ensemble and musicianship 🎉🎉🎉
I've watched this video of Clark and Yebba for years. It's just one of those things you wish would never end.
Agreed! Thanks for your comment 😊
❤two magnificent artists, Yebba truly has extraordinary talent, everything she touches is magnified, she is prodigious❤. Clark in this role makes our hairs stand on end.all live, a magical duo❤
Clark and Yebbah, I wanted more, it was so good!
Loved it ❤ thank you
I really like your playlist - choir matters.
I think you should bring it back. Maybe you talk about your experience with singing and conducting in classical vs rhythmic choirs?
Choir matters... yeah, I think you're right! I do think there are thousands of eager choir directors out there who would love some input and support! Thanks for your comment!
This is a blast!
Please react to Yebba's Tiny Desk Concert (live). It will astound!
Beautiful reaction. Please react to Amber Riley's version from the mask singer
Thanks for the comment! I will check out Amber Riley 😊
That is a great rendition as well! Amber Riley has a beautiful voice!
Always felt that song was a gospel blues tune
Those runs and stuff very well may have been unrehearsed and on the spot. Kelly Clarkson is that way. For example: she does a new Kellyoke cover daily and they typically don’t rehearse them. I think if you’re a certain level of singer, and a pro, that you can feel your way through a song on the spot and it be excellent.
You seriously cannot tell this is live? Really?
my son grew up loving John Mayar his fav artist of all time. I sent him this the other day and he said it was absoltely the very best rendition of gravity he has ever heard. yay
I agree with your son! Thanks for watching 🤗
Thank you for doing this! I’ve followed Clark for a long time. He’s the real deal! And Yebba is the icing on the cake for sure. Such a delight to watch you both enjoy this as much as I do 🎉
Thanks for your lovely comment - I appreciate it 🙋🏻♂
This is an absolutely insane performance. They are so well matched vocally. They’ve taken a really good song and elevated it into the stratosphere. Definitely took us to church.❤ I have noticed that ,when watching musicians who are so connected to the music and to each other, the facial expressions are also matched. You see it here. You also see it with Billie Eilish and Finneas and with Ren and Chinchilla.
Can you please react to eurovision performances and rate which one was the best vocally?
I love the video of Clark and Abbey, and although I do enjoy hearing the reactions of the people watching the video, I would much rather hear your thoughts after the song. The constant interruption just ruins the beauty of their performance. And to be quite honest, it's really annoying. It's like watching a great movie but someone keeps hitting the pause button to go to the bathroom. 🙄
We'd all love that, but under the fair use doctrine, music reactors must interrupt songs periodically and provide commentary or their videos can be (and often are) blocked.
Great video, both cause of the song and the analysis 😊. Great duo also, you and your friend
