One Less Roadblock to Eliminating Insulin Injections for Individuals with Type 1 Diabetes

A study from the laboratory of Dr. Cristina Nostro reveals a new approach for purifying therapeutic cells that could be used to treat type 1 diabetes. “For experimental therapies to be moved to the clinic, safety always comes first, and our findings provide an important strategy to reduce unwanted and potentially serious complications,” explains Dr. Nostro.
