Thank you so much. We don't have a hard and fast rule about phones at the dinner table. It depends on the night and who is at dinner. Most nights the kids put their phones away on their own. If we have guests, the phones are always away. But if we are eating in groups because others have things to do, it's a little more lax.

I feel like I could just walk right up to your front door, come in and sit a spell. Our evenings are pretty chill, my husband and I recently sold our houses (my mom lived in the 2nd one), and we're hanging out in a townhouse for the next year until we move in with my father in law to help take care of him in his twilight years. He's going to be 84 this summer, my mom is 81. It will be a house full, but all of us will be together for the next season of our lives. You and Danny have a wonderful life. Hey, that was great! You seem to have a smooth family routine that not only allows for meals together, but also manages to keep your home clean and tidy, and on top of laundry. I seriously think I would get more laundry done if I had my washer and dryer on our main floor. Such a smart floorplan! Honestly, as much as I hate waking up to a messy kitchen, some nights I have zero energy reserves to do anything after dinner but chillax. I'd choose another margarita over dishes any night.

I used to keep my house spotless. But I will be 65 in less than a month. And I don’t have the energy I used to. I try to keep my house picked up. But I don’t clean as much as you do. I do have family coming to stay with us at the end of the month. We’re having a baby shower for one of my granddaughters. So her oldest sister lives out of state. And she stays here with her boyfriend and their son. My only great grandson for a few more months. Then number two will be coming in July. Your meal looked wonderful. But I would skip the cilantro. We don’t really like it here. I’m going to try making that soon.
