Yes, this is a very under-rated video. I'm glad you reacted to it. Scott was the r and b hero, Mitch could have handled the high notes easily.
This is another favorite PTX video that I can't believe you missed! They all sound amazing, and I'm glad you got a chance to re-hear Jason's voice, because it's great here. And Avi's bass - boom, boom BOOM! Thanks for the great reaction. It's nice to hear reactions from people who know music and can make a comparison to prior versions of their covers.

When they would perform this live on their world tour, their openers Us the Duo( a husband and wife duet) would sing Jason's part and then because Michael from Us the duo could beatbox he would take the little section toward the end freeing up Kevin to sing the super high part. Mitch couldn't take it since he's obviously doing harmony throughout. One time when Mario Jose was there for a show they brought him on stage and he took Jason's part.

Speaking of Cats the Movie... the other day I saw an article that the composer of the score for the movie was so traumatized by that adaptation that he needed to get an emotional support dog. It had a line like Cats go to the Dogs again. I don't know how true that article is but I can certainly see the possibility for it!

Jason sounded great, but I wish Mitch had taken a high note too.
Jason Derulo has a great voice and is an amazing dancer but you wouldn't know that just listening to the music he puts out it is all absolutely ridiculous its catchy but its more like something someone who couldn't really sing would put out. go back and listen to some of his stuff its easy to assume he can't really sing. please check out his stuff from a few years ago.

Great reaction choice. I think that this song was the only non-original song that was on that Pentatonix album. They all did a great job with it and with the video. In some videos online you can see/hear Kevin doing the high part at concerts. He's so awesome.

My second favorite song from their first album of originals. My favorite was Sing. This song rattles the speakers in my car.
This song was a remake of an R&B song from the 70's. Can't remember who originally did it. I think it was the only remake on that album.
Can't believe it did not get airplay. Really good song.
Jason and Scott have very similar soulful voices. I would call it a tie for those two. The bass line is utterly amazing. Avi always impresses me and I should be used to it.
