I think Dalton's performance as Bond is the most underrated performance in cinema history. He was exceptional. One of the great disappointments is that we didn't get to see him play Bond at least one more time. Of course I would have loved to have seen him play 007 for even more times than three. But we're fortunate that we were just able to see him in the role at all- he was that special. He was probably the closest cinematic Bond to the original literary Bond and arguably the best and most talented actor/dramatic actor to have played the role. Dalton did toughness and grittiness with Bond better than Craig has.
@@conorsmith8551 he did three audio books by author Benjamin Black Silver Swan, Christine Falls, and Elegy for April. Tim does all the characters so very well
Dalton is just an intense man. Which isn't a bad thing at all. The man was perfect for Bond. Too bad he didn't get a third Bond movie. Think how amazing it would've been, seeing that Goldfinger and The Spy who Loved Me before him were amazing Bond movies.
Тимати Далтон- мой любимый актёр. Он очень красивый человек и в жизни и на экране. Пусть он живёт счастливо и долго. Пусть обретёт своё счастье на долгие годы.
I think you're right. I've actually read that the working plot for the third Bond film that Dalton was supposed to make involved destroying a chemical weapons facility in Scotland (probably the inspiration for the opening of GoldenEye), and would have taken place in Tokyo and Hong Kong. Just that basic synopsis sounds amazing! It's such a pity that we couldn't see that movie. As much as I love GoldenEye, in part because I grew up with it, I will admit that Brosnan's performance in it was often pretty bland and stiff. Dalton is unquestionably a better actor and would have done even better. Frankly any movie that Dalton is in would be better and amazing because he is just such an incredible actor. There is no question that Dalton is a better Bond than Brosnan and in fact one of the best Bond's ever.
eating sugar no papa Yeah - because Brosnan was stuck with Remington Steele. He had to honour that contract. You’re just a salty child obsessed with hating on Dalton.
Timothy could recite the phone book or a twelve volume encyclopedia and I would find it interesting. Sauveness just pours out when he opens his mouth (and when he doesn't too).
І добре,що він відмовився далі грати Бонда,відмовився бути актором однієї ролі.В нього так багато незабутніх персонажів! Найбільше мені подобаються історичні,костюмовані фільми з Тімоті Далтоном.
Bond... James bond. Timothy Dalton is James bond always for me. I wish he had done as many as connery and Moore. He was just getting accustomed then the rug pulled from under him. If some other studio had decided to make the bond films, and he could have signed up he'd have done another 2 in 1991 and 1993.and maybe goldeneye. Pity property of a lady never got made. Fellow bond fans i'm sure decry the fact we never saw more Dalton
What I really wish is that Moore had dropped out after "MOONRAKER". "FYEO" is my favorite Moore film... but these days, every time I watch it, I wish Dalton had done it instead. If he had, I'm sure the next 2 would have been infinitely better than they were. It's a shame that broccoli got into several lawsuits behind-the-scenes after "LICENSE TO KILL" came out which kept delaying the next film until 6 years had gone by. Some movie fans who had no idea of this mistakenly believed "LICENSE" had bombed and the long delay was somehow Dalton's fault, when nothing could be further from the truth. Of course, ONE really good decision they made with "GOLDENEYE" was that, starting with that film, every Bond film would be released in November... avoiding the summer "blockbuster" season.
@@MetroRatRace dalton isn't better, connery and brosnan publicly criticized dalton for lacking control, suaveness and underestimated the role apparently dalton was a joke, and his bond movies didn't age well.... helping the terrorists in afghanistan against russia that planned 9/11? it sure aged well didn't it? Moore was a much better bond because bond isn't just about intensity, which dalton had in spades...and that's about it, no charm, no suaveness, seemed stressed the whole time aswell
@@khav11 No one should care what former or aspiring Bond actors think of the (then)current Bond, that just shows you have no opinion of your own. And you have to be joking that he underestimated this role, he was fantastic in it. He had his own style of control & suaveness. If you fail to notice due to your bias, that's on you. And any moment where he might seem stressed, is purely because Bond is stressed at that moment. Also mind you "The Living Daylights" was released only a mere 16 years before 9/11, when the political landscape in & surrounding Afghanistan was obviously a little different. Even Rambo helped these *terrorists* in his third outing. I mean, are you really siding with the Soviets? They were not known for their kindess at that time, not at ANY time. Don't bring age into movies, I could criticize any Bond film for being outdated. Good day to you, sir.
Glancing at photos it seems like he could have had a 15-year reign as Bond (1987-2002) before the whole "looks too old" issue would come up. That would have been nice.
@Milidoa Very Welcome! Have more videos to put up! Some are between 15-17 years old too! Simply smile when I hear vanilla now! Love the whole story in it!

@HolyBackboard Hello!!! Gret interview and one of my faves!!! It was taped May 19th, 1999 I believe for he was promoting Cleopatra and mentioend Made Men!
I'm I the only one who finds it funny that Timothy Dalton is talking about Star Wars considering that he was in Flash Gordon? George Lucas apparently created the concepts of Star Wars when he couldn't get the film rights to Flash Gordon.
I wish I could find more interviews with Dalton. Beautiful man. Even good looking now.
I couldn’t agree with you more. Timothy Dalton is a very very beautiful man. They don’t make men like this anymore!
Check out Jane Eyre (1983).

Absolutely Agree!!! Dalton should have done Goldeneye!
agree totally. Aside from being an amazing actor he is totally gorgeous
Craig is nothing but a copycat of Bourne. His movies are snorefest for me.
Totally agree! I love Timothy Dalton! Very handsome & well acting !
I love to hear him speak as much as watch him act.
Absolutly!!! The man can read a grocery list and sound wonderful! Have the audio books he read for...sheer heaven

Dalton’s last 007 film should have been GoldenEye the plot for that film was made for him not for Brosnan.

Such a great actor & a tremendous Bond.. my personal favourite..Grew up on his Bond films 💯🎥
