If anyone of my generation hit a staff member, it was considered assault - even if the staff member hit the pupil first - or tried to force feed food to them that they didn’t like or couldn’t eat for some reason - there was no reasoning with staff members in my boarding schools - their word was law - they could not be challenged or called out on any matter!
@JK_JK_JK_JK I admit I've not watched much beyond the 1st series of the reboot but I know they've covered some of the issues before in the original version

I hate that they ruined Dean's character, until the end of season 13, he was an alright lad (of course, that one night stand with Libby wasn't wise) but the producers decided to make him some sort of incel instead, I'm not a fan.
I missed the old BBC… They have good shows like LazyTown, Doctor Who and others. I don’t like the new BBC cause of… you know… Dennis Rickman Jr thing and low ratings.
The one in Scotland series 8 to 10 was good, this on the other hand is rushed, uninteresting and lacks originality although (spoiler alert), I like what they did in Series 14.
@@accountuser5588honestly if the one in Scotland was more realistic (nearly all the characters in this school in Scotland had English accents) it would be regarded as a good watch
My English is not good enough to catch every sense of their words. However, the situation is more or less clear. British TV was always on the top. Keep up good work, BBC, in this direction ⬆️ More truth, less wokeness - all people need!
I see this show is still trash. Some 16 year old with the hairline of a 39 year old, and a bunch of other kids that all of a sudden stop what they're doing to silently watch the two of them like it's Eastenders.
Grow up man, Waterloo Road is not "woke", times have changed and this reboot has been amazing. I do wish some people wouldn't keep using the term "woke" 🙄

I don’t know why they made dean a villian this season and apparently that’s him permanently gone too he ended up being so nice then you turned him bad

Definitely very forced and woke, ruining all of Dean’s character development to have him become some online misogynist out of nowhere.
