Make sure the stems are hollow..... and freezing morels properly doesn't effect their flavor at all. Clean, cut in half, lay on foil on cookie sheet separate and fast freeze. (They are all separate from each other and still delicious 🤤.)
Do tell us where on earth 🌍 your located? Where we live in southwest Michigan we don’t get many at all! The season here starts around the end of April into early May
So are there different kinds of morrells or just different situations that make them look funny. We have early small ones i call greys and then later ones that are big and yellow. Call them yellows. We live in the ozarks and also have big red ones that are solid. These in the video look like false morrells.
There are hundreds of species of morels worldwide. I find many species here just in Charlotte, NC. Yes, those two red oneslooked like false morels to me.
