Comment which you have highlighted in the video about your Teflon experience might be true. So, we as a car detailer would like to educate car owners a bit further.
Different types of polish :
Wax (Wash + wax polish) -> Just for instant gloss its a basic detailing
Teflon polish (Paint correction + Teflon polish) -> Compounding process for removing minor scratches, blemishes, swirl marks & then Teflon polish will be applied (Usually service will claim effect will be seen till 6 months. Thing we have to understand is
top-up of Teflon polish will be washed upon foam washes. But correction done on paint will take 6 months - 1 year to get faded again with minor scratches.
Paint sealant (Paint correction + Paint sealant polish) -> Compounding process for removing minor scratches, blemishes, swirl marks & then sealant polish will be applied (Here sealant will stay for few months as it will react with clear coat. Again, paint effect correction effect will remain for 1 year.
High end protection coating:
Ceramic coating (9H/10H) -> Paint correction process + Coating Preparation + Coating (Here, fresh vehicles doesn't needed paint correction process.
Graphene coating -> Paint correction process + Coating Preparation + Coating (Here, fresh vehicles doesn't needed paint correction process.
Conclusion : So from above statements, we think readers would got some idea about how paint is getting damaged & about polishes durability. Most of the cars gets dull is due to improver wash/wipes/dusting on our day-to-day activities. So, high end protection coating clearly eliminates these effects as it has enough durability to withstand these minor defects.
Depends on your budget, you can choose a best (branded) Ceramic or Graphene coating treatments.
Why, not to opt Teflon polishing in Car showrooms : Genuinely speaking, showroom associates has a strict time limitation for each car & they have to complete the work on each car within 3-4 hours. Time = Intense results 😒
We as a car detailer, strictly follows a guidelines to get ample timing from customer (Small/Medium cars - 2 days, SUV/MUV - 3 days). Teflon is not about the paint areas, we enhance end-to-end detailing which includes alloys, chrome parts, glasses.

There is No coating called TEFLON. Please avoid that, it's a marketing gimmick

Ceramic coat wont last longer more than 4months…its waste of money..i applied ceramic it lasted only for 4months and i have a covered car parking….its full gimmic
Ceramic coating doesn't work on that way brother, it needs regular maintanence over a 3 month interval. Covers should not be used and should not be regularly washed and cleaned. Manual cleansing is a strict no. I understand your concern brother. Ceramic coating comes with a strict maintanence schedule. It's all upto us whether we need it or not. B/w thank you so much brother for sharing your experience here.
@wilsonpravin , what Wilson said is true, for these many maintenance after applying ceramic, a regular wash of our is enough, same goes with garphine and ppf too
