I am trying a Canon HG10 at the moment which I might buy. The build quality is excellent. The Panasonic is a bit lightweight, very compact though. I think the Canon has a slight edge over the Panasonic in terms of picture quality even though I have been happy with the HDC-SD20. Not sure about the Sony I would hve to see some footage to compare
