I've been skating penny for about 6 years now. Both Penny and Nickle. I would never once call them bad. I've traveled all over China, Australia, San Francisco and more of the US on them and never once had a problem. If you want one, I totally recommend it. but if you want to do tricks, why wouldn't you just buy a real skateboard.

I prefer the flex in penny boards, specifically the 27 inch model. It's hard to find a short board with good flex.
