Just received my quiet comfort ultra headphones over the weekend and Bose definitely did their homework. The sound quality is in line with my QC earbuds 2 (which is to say excellent) but with added spaciousness given they're over-ear headphones. The comfort is awesome and in line with the QC headphones (still have the 35 ii), and the style is better than my 700s (IMO).
i think with the ultras bose has done a great job. Still waiting for my preorder but from what i read the sound quality definitly seems to be improved, which was one of the weak points of bose headphones in the past. Also with the ultras, bose now finally has headphones with a good palette of features which also was a weakpoint with models like the 35 or 45 which nearly had no features (i mean its cool for people who like simplicity, but on the other hand there are quiet alot of people like me who definitly want some features on their headphones). So im definitly very excited for when my preorder arrives. :D
I can't wait for your ANC test between Ultra, QC, Q45 and also competition like XM5
However, 1000xm5 are a year out of date. I'm curious about 1000xm6 in 2024...😂 I have bose qc45 and sony 1000xm5,xm4 wf-1000xm4/5 (tws) i have it too
@@LukeleStrange I have no doubt that ANC on XM6 will be the best but Sony needs to step up their game. Better stronger build quality, more room in the earcups and option to manually adjust ANC. If they don't put manual ANC this time on XM6 I'm not buying. Also seeing how a lot of people have a problem with XM4 and XM5 having loud feedback noise after some time because of moisture, sweat resistance would be nice too.
The independent / single usage is the key. The video shows ambient sound in one instead of only when using both
I got the Quite Comfort Ultra and today I have also picked up the Quite Comfort. I am having a bit of an issue with the ear cups of the Ultra. Definitely smaller in depth. Also, i am used to extend the head band of my QC45 for proper fitting. The Ultra headband is definitely a bit short. It does not fit me as comfortable lke with the Quite Comfort and my QC45. However, i am a bit disappointed because the sound of the Ultra is superb. Controls are also on point, So, i am really having a dilema of which one i am going to keep. Definitely as you pointed out on your review , which btw is excellent, the ultra’s comes with noticeable differences on ear-cups and headband size. But awesome sound and superb NC. However, i am not sure if i am ready to compromise and keep the Ultra’s . I have not had this issues before with my previous QC’s.
Thank you for the great review.
Yeah the Ultra's are less comfortable (tighter and hotter on head) than my QC 35 ii. Do the regular Quiet Comfort's sound like your QC45? I heard some reviews that said the regular and ultras sound the same and others that say the Ultra have way better bass
@@martin_wood i believe the Ultra’ s have much better sound overall than the Quite Comfort. The sound in the QC 45 and the QC are very similar.
What about the clamping force? Is it still the same as before? I have TMJ so i really need to know this cus i cant use any headset with alot of clamping force
Question @gymcaddy : why is it that none of the big names (you included) have already reviewed the ultra headphones ?
I mean, not you (not yet^^), no mkbhd, no dhrme, no one ...
Is there something going on with delivery or something like that ?
I got the momentum 4, the qc 45, the xm4 and the ultra headphone and I'd like to say I reeaaaaaly love the ultra !
Bose sound but in a better version, comfort and scary anc.
Can't wait to see your tests !
Keep going, love your channel !
Dude for some reason I love your unscripted content more than the scripted. Keep up the excellent work we appreciate you!
I appreciate that!
Finally! The definitive review is approaching.
Can you please comment on call quality? Another review stated that Ultra Earbuds are worse than II.
Love your works bro
how it compare to JBL tour one m2 if I can get a set for 160 euro.
Wow, I can’t wait for you your review
Finally they arrived ! Watched Floss Carter’s review who never mentioned the NC 700 and from the comments section did not even know or realized that the QC Ultra came as a replacement to these, he honestly thought they were the QC45’s successors.
Looking forward to a real review comparing these to the 700 in the premium category of Bose’s headphones !
Well i usuelly not a Flossy defender, but he s not wrong either QC45 is foldable and the NC700 was not...and having the QC ultra earbudq, honestly sound wise they are ratier unimpressive, or maybe all my other tws are just much better.
Finalement, i had also ordered the QC Ultra headphones but after testing their earbuds,i am not interested in their headphone anymore. Immersion mode is quite a useless feature on those
@@JoeGillian0 irrespective, the QC Ultra are not replacements to the QC 45 just because they’re foldable. If he had done his homework he would have known that Bose themselves say they are replacements to the Bose 700 and that they came up with the Bose Quietcomfort to replace the QC 45.
There are a lot of people looking to replace their 700 and want correct comparisons so I think Floss is fine but not necessarily thorough (even though his videos are 50 min long somehow).
@@koreskalp People...well at least i hope so are good enough to pick the headphones that suit their need best.
The QC ultra look cheaper than the NC700...and i dont really care if it s a QC45 or NC700 succesor or maybe none of that.
What matters is overall performance so if you judge a reviewer just because he gave some minor incorrect information well that s your call .
He s not alone, GMCADDY i recall correctly also gave some technical misinformation too.
Also i would not care too much about what Bose says...QC II earbuds users are still awaiting the overdue aptx adaptive firmware update that was promised by Bose before they were released. 1 year later still nothing ..
@@JoeGillian0 i don’t care about minor technical information. There’s absolutely no mention of the previous flagship headphones from Bose in the video review of Bose new flagship headphones so apart from general feeling I cannot determine whether it is worth the upgrade from flagship to flagship in my case.
Looks and designs are subjective, if the product is better (which seems to be the case from all reviews I have seen and read comparing against the 700) then that’s good enough for me as the only downside I see is the price which is not a factor in my case.
The Bose
Does your QC Ultra’s headband creak/squeak/pop when extending the headphones to put them on?
Hey, question. Does QC Ultra will replace your QC 45 as your main daily driver?
I own a Samsung Galaxy S20 phone. When I receive text messages, the headphones do not alert me. Is this alert feature possible on these headphones? Also, I'm unable to activate or use Google Assistant with these headphones. Is it even possible to use Google Assistant with these?
I bought the Ultra headphones and sent them back to Bose. They are uncomfortable, especially compared to my wonderful QC35s.
If you wanna upgrade from the 35s why not the QC 45, same design I think with better ANC
@@psycho9299 Thank you. No ActivSense on the 45’s.
hey Gymcaddy, which sound is better: Sennheiser Momentum 4 or the Bose Ultra Headphone? ANC is secondary for me.
Senhizer. But anc Sony 1000xm5 and bose ultra (and quiet qomphprt) are better. much better when it comes to anc.
Headphones season I guess, I hope the Sennheiser Accentums are in the works
Hi ✌️I'm considering the Bose QC Ultra Headphones or the Sennheiser Momentum 4. ANC is secondary for me and the priority is the sound.
Does anyone have both headphones to compare? Which one sounds better and is louder?
I have the momentum 4’s and also owned the NC700 and XM5’s. m4 shits all over them for audio quality and comfort (qc45 still wins on comfort against these though).
Overall I find the M4’a the best.
@@lammiwinks3775agree, sound wise Sennheiser takes it.
Can you confirm whether or not the cups on the ultras are plastic or aluminium? You state in your video its plastic, but different sources says its aluminium, im confused 🤔
I like the cases with the indents.
Love your new video style
When is the review coming?
Bose QC Ultra are more comfortable for me than the 700 were. I think they learnt their lesson on that one.
I just sold my Sony XM fives because the earcups for two shallow
I will be selling my Sony XM4’s because of the ear cups. I also cannot get a perfect fit, no matter how much i adjust them
Hey, when are you dropping a review on the ultra headphones? I have the Airpods max and they tend to get uncomfortable after about an hour. I want headphones that sound good and have great comfort for long sessions. I also had xm4s, they sound great but tend to get hot after some time.
Have you still not reviewed these?
We’re working on it.
Wow You have many headphones!!! I just have 8 wireless headphones ( Dominant with Sony & JBL ) 😳👍🏻
Is funny how reviewers don't cover JBL headphones that much, I have the JBL Tour One Over Ear and those work better for me than the XM5, Momebtum 4, etc, I know is not feature rich as the XM5, or powerful sound as the Momentum 4 but for some reason the JBL work better for me.
I have always wondered how the JBLs are.
@@elmaster6207 I Think JBL Headphone Reviewer is Rare!!! 🖐🏻😨🖐🏻
@@BrianHonde Good Brand just like Sony!!! 👌🏻😃👌🏻
cause every time that I tried to use them I have been super disappointed.
pardon, what cap size are you? 8?
Sounds like its minor difference between the 45 and the ultra, I got the qc45 se from costco on sale for $200, the ultra is probably not worth $230 extra lmao expensive af
the ultra reminds me of stiff leather bmw seats or like a firm pillow versus soft on the qc …..not my preferred style personally but i feel like over time they will maybe hold their shape better or not look as comfortably worn as the qc series has always been. i went with qc over the ultra bc of this. thank you for the weight test of them all.
I too have hopes for These too. Love sound sample I heard while Best Buy with three demo.
Can u review the ue epicboom
Review aonic 50 gen 2 plz
Chop chop with the reviews my man. Been waiting a minute.
So this is proof that UA-cam just doesn’t suggest my content.
Do you plan to review the qc 2023 and qc ultra? Does any of them replace QC45 as your daily driver?
Working on the full length videos as we speak
@@GYMCADDY awesome! Looking forward to it
My man, thanks for taking the scale out: 253g Quietcomfort Ultra’s confirms that I’m staying with 236g QC 45!
Will you please review the new Sennheiser ACCENTUM? Its advertised 220g weight and $180 price both seem compelling, but I wonder about plastic creak.
Apparently, QC Ultra must be powered on to use the wired connection. No sound will pass through the QCU headphones if the headphones are dead (while traveling), which is a real shame. Pages 33-34 of the instruction manual confirm that they’re powered headphones. I’m sticking with QC45. 8:28
bose qc h ultra looks cheap..
What do you think about AirPods maxes
they could pick a lot from Air pod Max algorithm they sound too good, though ain't something u wanna wear for more than 2hrs or even an hr your head jolts if you try to relax even a lil and the mic on quite comfort ultra is terrible somthing you would get on a 50$ headphones
